selling my own product to a hungry unexplored market

I've found a hungry desperate market with 40k plus exact monthly searches (for the top 5 keywords). and the top google results are so weak it's not even funny. When I say weak I mean weak, I could totally occupy the top 5 spots, heck even entire first page if I wanted (actually that may be a good idea to push the competition away and sell it for more than they do ).

But I have many questions. I've never sold my own product online before. This will be an ebook. How do I deliver this ebook? I am pretty bad at web designing so I will be using templates (I can however go in and add html to the template I guess)

What sort of software do I use to deliver a download link once the person has paid? is there something like that? I feel like this may be over my head as for the tech part.

    Take it one step at a time.

    To answer your question... you do not need any software to deliver the ebook. You can make a simple HTML thank-you page, with a link to download the ebook, and direct your customers there upon successful payment.

      If you are sure you have a hungry market, then you need to plan you market domination

      1) if this is your own product, is it done? IF not, you need to figure out exactly what this market wants and deliver it. It doesn't have to be perfect, you can improve it over time.

      2) You will need web copy - compelling text to sell the product. You need to identify who this is for, have them self qualify (that's me ooh ooh!), and give them the benefits, etc.

      3) call to action, order button - who are you using for payment (gateway, paypal, clickbank, other) You need to set that up.

      4) download, after order, usually the payment system will return data and you use this to help secure the download. There are scripts for this.

      5) how do you get the hungry traffic. It seems you indicate you could own the whole page, but that doesn't happen overnite, so you have some work to do. OR you can use PPC.

      If you need any specific help, I have done this several times and wrote my own web software to have any product for sale in under 30 minutes. I'd be happy to share as someday soon, I am going to update it and release it to the public. I need a test subject
