The best way to monetize an email list

I have 8000 subscribers on my email list and I have been offering educational programs for how to make a living online but have had no sales. Now my money has run out so I won't be able to offer the same program I was. However I still have another program I own the resale rights to. But in the meantime I need to make some money with my list. Maybe a few suggestions on how to do this will help.

Read your post again and see how ridiculous it sounds. You're trying to make money by selling a course on how to make money. If the program was any good, wouldn't you be using it yourself? If you have no confidence in it, how do you expect others to buy into it?

Assuming you built that 8,000 email list, you should know at least something about marketing. Find a product or service that resonates with the reason those subscribers signed up and promote that. However, if you bought or rented the list, you should understand that you're starting from a base of zero credibility.

Either way, it's never the best plan to try selling money-making courses until you've actually, you know, made some money yourself.

How are your open / click rates?

You could promote affiliate offers or maybe sell solo ads.

What is your email open rate? How did you build your list? Don't listen to naysayers and haters, there is nothing wrong selling make money online products if you are trying to make money online. Thats how you learn and grow. We all need to start somewhere. As long as you're hungry you are always going to win. That being said email marketing is about building trust and likeability. Don't let that scare you, because nobody can like us right off the bat it takes time. If your subscribers are opening your email they are curious but not ready to take the plunge yet. In 8000 subscribers everyone has different challenges, some have no idea how to register a domain name, some have no idea how to build a blog etc. So pushing something that they don't want can never generate sales.

The important question is: how did you build that list of 8000 subscribers?

That is the important factor here. What did they sign up for? Do they know who you are and have you build a good relationship with them?

It seems to me that you have a bunch of freebie seekers who was never conditioned to buy anything from you.

If you can't add anything of value, you might want to resist the urge to post, just for the sake of posting.

      Think about it.

Value and quality is the key. Your subscribers provided their email because they want something of value.

so send them value emails such as videos, blog posts etc... that help them with there problem (in this case your in the MMO niche) before asking for the sale.

When you said you have resale right to sell a product it sounds like your selling PLR products. I'd recommend taking the time to create you own high quality product. Quality is the #1 thing. However if you do use PLR products and/or affiliate products then you need to make sure it's a good quality product otherwise you'll burn your list.

Assuming, of course, that the OP is qualified or knowledgeable enough in any particular area to be able to do so.

While, the possibility exists that you might be able to do that, it doesn't mean that anyone else can - and spending money to have someone do it for you, has been demonstrated many, many time that this is something most people won't even consider.

Advice needs to be commensurate with an individuals capabilities or motivation.

How did you get your subscribers?
Also, where did you get your educational programs for how to make a living online? Wouldn't the info on how to monetize a list be in there? Sorry, not trying to be cheeky, just asking.
