Affiliate Link Question...

Hello,

Is it a good idea to put affiliate links (either text or images) in every post on my website?

The reason I'm asking is because affiliate links fit in well with my content but I was wondering if it is going to be a nightmare with regards to link management. I'm aware of broken link plugins but haven't used them.

Is it easier to manage affiliate links if I use them less often, in widgets, or separate pages?

Thanks

Widgets or 'content boxes' depending of the capabilities of your page builder or theme, is the best way to handle that. As far as whether or not it's a good idea, I'm sure you'll get comments both pro and con.

No. Google will think your site is a spam site and that will hurt the visibility of your post. Meaning you won't get as much traffic.

You should focus on writing helpful content and use affiliate links only when it truly makes sense.

A great idea is to just write helpful content then have a 'resources' page in your menu so that people can access the affiliate links that you promote. If that makes sense.

      Oscar,

Good point...I set up a 'category' along with the other ones in my menu. I made the affiliate products/services seem to fit in with other categories so it doesn't seem like 'shopping' etc.

      Good advice

Normally yes. It all depends on your audience. If you're not sure then split test.
