Newbie who wants to build and sell digital products.

Hi All,

First of all,I want to say thanks to all the amazing and awesome people in the forum.
I decided to take a plunge to create second source of income and eventually make it into a passive income in the long run.

I am a newbie to building digital products and selling them online.
I have thought of some niche topics(problems/use cases ) based on which I can build new products(either video courses or ebook).Personally, I feel ebook would be a better option.
But the whole process of idea validation to doing social media marketing is a bit overwhelming.
Is any recommended approach or a step by step guide I can follow?
Can you guys suggest what would be a good starting points?

Also would it be possible to use a pseudonym to sell digital products solving a niche problem.

Awaiting your response.

About me:
I have been in the IT industry for last 13 years.I have experience in the customer insights and analytics world.

Make something that helps people with customer insights and analytics.

Sell what you make by finding people who were like you 13 to 14 years ago.

Start there and you will create something authentic and have a market you know something about.

    best regards,

Growing downlines with salesmanship in print is the easiest and dare I say most practical way to grow a passive income. You could also try your hand on video marketing. Cultivating relationships with key people does the trick.

You're starting with a flawed concept. There's no such things as passive income. If you're developing, building, selling products and continually developing new ones - as well as supporting your customers, you'll be working at some level the entire time.

    Shun the myth.

Point taken.I understand the concern you mentioned. The intention is to build something which even after 5-10 years viewed should be useful for the end users.

    Hi Dikesh,

Since you are passionate about IT and have great experience/clarity in that niche, consider creating an eBook helping folks, based on your niche.

You have immense experience in that niche as far as knowing what people want, or what problems people need solved in that area. Go for it.

Self-publish on Amazon. Begin blogging on a self-hosted platform to help folks and to expand your reach. Keep writing eBooks and boost sales, over the long haul.

Your'e essentially asking a question that is answered in a comprehensive, quality internet marketing course. Take one.

So, what you are saying is either and some point you will stop supporting, updating, marketing and promoting the products, as well as adding new ones and allow them to simply die a slow death.

At some point sales will slow to a trickle, if not stop, altogether. You can't get much more passive than that, so - I guess you win! :-)

You can either argue with common sense or embrace it. It simply depends on your innate understanding of life and business. Trust me when I tell you that neither is going to be any different for you, then for everyone else.

I'm trading forex for 12 years and I'm trying Internet marketing to validate my idea. This is what I would do but never do because I'm scare.

    1. Find a hungry market.
    2. Use udemy, clickbank and jvzoo.
    3. Find their price point and feedback.
    4. Funnel hack, buy and buy and watch their funnel.
    5. Spy on their traffic source.

If you have a product already. This is what I'll do.
    1. Find the big idea.
    2. Create the Irresistible Offer.
    3. Create the hook.
    4. Tell the origin Story.
    5. Setup the sales page.
    6. Drive paid traffic.
    7. Anything above 20%. Your offer is in demand.
    8. Anything less. Create a funnel.
    9. Lead magnet - > tripwire - > core offer - > upsell.

If fail. Find a different hook. Rinse and repeat.
