Can anyone recommend a flv player for commercial use on internet?

Hey guys,

I have been searching for a good flv player I can embed my videos into for way too long. At this point, I'm getting frustrated because I cannot find anything good.

The only flv player I found that is any good is the jw player from longtailvideo.com. They charge quite a bid for multi-site copy though. That's why I am looking for an alternate player. However, if I can't find anything else, I'll have to buy that.

There was one other player which some of you may find useful that I found during my searches. If you use dreamweaver 8 or later, you can use this plugin player that looks great.

FLV Player

Multi-domain license costs about $99 so that's not cheap either but some of you might find it useful.

Anyway, is there an flv player that I can embed on my websites that can be use on commercial sites? I would use them on landing pages, sales letters, membership type sites.

Thank you in advance.

Peter

  • You might want to see if screencast.com would work for you. They host the files for you and then you just paste the player code into your page. It is free until you hit so much storage & bandwidth. I've used them and it worked great.
  • Hey, Peter, I think that Flowplayer is pretty awesome quality. Not sure how much it is for multidomain licensing, but you could check it out at this link
  • Thanks Tommy. I tried that before but for whatever reason I couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'll revisit it again. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

    Thank you,

    • I would suggest you try VLC. Check its versatilty here

      VLC - Features

This will show flash and any other video format seamlessly. I often have problems with avi, mpeg, flash and lots of other video formats but VLC comes up trumps every time. It's also cross platform
