Hello,
I am a digital marketer and I am looking for a niche to get into. I want to do marketing in the Real Estate industry and I was wondering who would benefit most from marketing? Investors? Realtors? Builders? I was thinking about marketing for investors with vacation rentals since my area town is a very touristy spot, there are a lot of vacation rentals. What do you guys think?

    Start over.

if you don't know what the market is - who your target audience is - what skills/knowledge you have and which demographic it appeals to...

    You need to start over.

marketing for investors with vacation rentals

To do what? There are sites that feature resort rentals, local businesses that deal with resort rental properties for a fee. Where can you fit in? What do you have to offer that they don't? Who will you be working for and how/why will they pay you?

If you are in a tourist area, start with researching all the local businesses that already service that tourist potential.

Take time to research this forum and online for good info on choosing a niche ...it's not as easy as just picking something that sounds good...

Thanks for the information! I am not picking Real Estate because it sounds good I am picking it because my specialty is getting leads, email marketing and growing a social media presence.

From my knowledge Real Estate is the industry that benefits the most from leads and email marketing because with a lead you can turn them into a buyer. Even at least 10 new leads a month that are highly interested which would not be too difficult for me would benefit them, especially for vacation rentals as people usually rent for about a week and move on so the investors/owners really need to keep bringing in tenants to keep making money.

I have the skills and knowledge I am just searching for the best niche for me. Lastly, about sites that feature the rentals and such are good but don't you think it would be even better to get an ad out right in front of a potential customers face on social media (where they are 90% of their time) than waiting for someone to contact you on a site? Targeting specifically travelers that are getting ready to travel to the area of the business owner so they see potential rentals where they are going to be.

And lastly get them to sign up for an email list to do further marketing (for free) and within 5 minutes of them signing up a salesperson calls them to potentially convert them? In my opinion that would be way better than waiting for a "fish" to bite essentially, posting it on a site. So that is how I believe I will fit in.

I won't have a problem fitting in, I just want to know who is the best to go after in the industry. Hence who needs marketing most and who would have the money to pay for it.

My point is - if you don't know who is best - who needs - and who pays...you already have a problem in my opinon. But I could be wrong.

The list of links above is a good one - check them out. I'm a former RE agent/broker - so I do have some basis for questioning your assumptions. Much depends on the laws in your state - some states are tougher than others.

    Time shares? J/K

    Jesse,

I've been in the real estate niche for 10+ years... both as an agent
and then as a marketer and lead gen for that niche.

To answer your question... think of it this way.

    1. Who in your world (realtors, investors, etc...) are in the MOST pain.

    Not physical, but emotional.

Who in your world is hurting MOST from not moving forward in their
    biz?

Match THAT with what you can do FOR them, to get them OUT of that
    immediate pain.

If you can't help one of those target markets to get out of an immediate
or present problem BETTER than their other current options...

    Look elsewhere.

Heh heh your WSO came up in my search early on and I wanted to share it, but that'd probably get flagged. I'm "for" the offer, though.

  • Since your town area is tourist spot, you may want to consider rent apartments from others and do your own vacation rental business.
