Local Marketing for a Property Management Company?

I have a client who I built a beautiful website for. I even started getting some decent traffic to it, but they went and changed the url without me knowing, and never updated their local listings. So that pretty much killed them in the water.

That's something I can fix, but they're now asking me to write articles for them to help them rank better locally. This is a great service i've offered to plumbers, hvac techs, basically local service businesses. But there aren't too many people searching for a property manager. There are searches, but they'd be better off getting (5-star) reviews on google local to help their ranking which I will tell them. They're going to pay me 500 p/month to do 2 articles per month, so I don't want to steer them from that.

Maybe some social media ideas anyone might have? I'm open to anything. These guys manage residential and commercial properties. I just want to add more value to the services I know they want me to do. This way 4 months down the line after they've given me 2k, they don't think they regret it...

Thanks in advance,
Shane

I think you are only looking at one side of what this company does.... is there a need to write contnent focussed on onboarding new properties.. probably not.. but I am more than sure there is a need to fill those properties. So maybe a communication with the client to get a better understanding of the content needed.

Unfortunately for me the client will just tell me, "I need a site, build it like this, i'll see you next week". But he doesn't really give me the time to figure that stuff out with him. One day I did say, "Look we need to sit down so I can give you what you Need." But only gave me like 10 minutes... then pushed me off to his secretary. So not the best client, but i'm looking for different ways to market his property management company. He has about 200 properties, most of which are filled, so we could add a "available properties". But I'd like most to drive more traffic to the site.

So ask the secretary... at the very least you need to know which direction to go.. heavy on the onboarding of properties or onboarding of renters? If they want to onboard properties no sense in having an online renters app now is there?

A stack of renter apps, and that would be leverage for him to A get more.. and B land properties.. just saying.

So basically a page dedicated to each property how many units location yada yada an app form and some photos.. get the site done and get paid at this point
