How far back can an affiliate network trace my traffic?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am curious as to how far an affiliate network can trace where my traffic is coming from. I have my own website and I use other social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Fiverr to advertise. If I was to direct users from my Facebook to my website, and then from my website to my affiliate offer, would my affiliate network be able to determine that my traffic came from Facebook originally? My affiliate banner would only be placed on my website.

It will track from wherever the affiliate link is placed. In this case, on your website. You can use Google Analytics to track where that traffic to your landing page came from.

In this instance they would see the traffic coming from your website and no more.

If set up right, you can do it with Clickmagick. You need to use a custom domain for FB.

You will only know the traffic source that come to your website but you will not know the traffic source that click on your affiliate link.
