Anyone NOT have Trouble With ClickBank?

Alright so there are a lot (and I include myself in this demographic) of us fairly new to IM that have started to make some money online and subsequently horrified by the claims that the place we've put hours upon hours of work into are gonna magically cut off our sales in a few weeks...

Has anyone made a consistent income with clickbank WITHOUT having to remake accounts or anything like that? It'd be nice to hear the voices of those that do have long-time working campaigns as well, because it's very disconcerning to slave away and then feel like you'll have to constantly chase a new carrot on a stick.

    Of course people have, it's just sometimes clickbank has issues, it is much more noticeable when you have a small income.

    Then wouldn't you have to change all of the links on your sites? I'm thinking that after this first campaign I'll try paydotcom products instead and see how that goes.

    it sucks because i had several clickbank products that i had found great keyword sets for and was putting together plans for approaching... all of which have no paydotcom equivalent.

    I have heard people who are complaining about Paydotcom too. You can not be 100% sure!

      Your assumption could be wrong...

      IMO, when people decide to "finally" switch their Clickbank accounts, they do
      so because they have been told to (1), their sales dropped significantly over
      a significant period of time (2) and/or they feel desperate (3).

      Now, I truly believe that after the rain comes the sunshine.

      So when sales increase again, the question remains...

      ... is it due to the previous rain ... or is it the "account switch" that triggered it?

      FYI, I am a Clickbank vendor and have never switched accounts (but suffered
      from periods with fewer sales as well).

    Screw it, I guess I should just stick with what's working right now and if there's problems, make new accounts/contact them. It's hard not to get discouraged sometimes.... just keep swimming I suppose.

        This is the problem, everyone has these theories but not willing to prove it.

        With clickbank you can buy through your own link. So if your ID is showing and you purchase the item you will get a receipt from clickbank that you purchased. Video your purchase and then you have proof your ID was showing but you didn't get credit for the sale.

        Very easy to prove if that is the case.

          There was an affiliate that started another post that basically did that...no video but he purchased through his link and never got credit for the sale. ID was showing at the bottom of the page etc...

          We're beating a dead horse here folks. If you read CB terms I believe I remember it saying that the tracking system has the final say. So if a cookie gets corrupted or there's something wrong with the time stamp or the planets aren't in proper alignment and you aren't credited with the sale according to their tracking system you're SOL. There's really nothing you can do about it so why beat your head against a wall. It's a waste of time to b1tc4 about it when you could be doing other things like writing or researching or contemplating your navel....breathe in and out...Moooo-Saaaahhhh!!!

          ps - as far as "proof" in a civil court of law you don't have to have solid tangible proof. You just have to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" so if you have a solid argument backed by lots of circumstantial evidence you win. Just ask OJ Simpson

        I totally agree, I'm sure there is some kind of problem but I've just been too sloppy to bother with it. As you said, 100s, 1000s of affiliates saying the same thing can't all suddenly be having bad days at the same time.

    I'm not having any trouble with them. Mainly because I don't use the money grabbing twits and certainly would not trust them with managing affiliates or successfully tracking my referrals.

    Sure people have great success with them, but at what cost? They are morons, plain and simple.

    People who make significant income with clickbank as affiliates have long known that part of the sacrifice is that clickbank has a long history of faulty tracking.

    Historically some affiliates came to expect to loose a % of their referrals.

    Now, having worked for many years to develop a better affiliate tracking system that to me is not acceptable...

    But when its a numbers game and you can put down the volume you just deal with the cards that you have been dealt.

     However, if you are thinking of running your own affiliate program... well having clickbank be your primary affiliate management system is like shopping at K-Mart for a prom dress...

    Your date ain't going to be that impressed.

    Using clickbank as the only solution to manage your primary affiliate program and referring your own affiliates to clickbank is like putting a sign up that says...

    "Promote if you feel like it and clickbank might track your referrals."

    Clickbank is just an advertising portal (the most significant one in digital product marketing). Its not a place where people are serious about whether their affiliates referrals get tracked or not. They get paid regardless.

      I'm been making at least one sale on Clickbank each and every day since July. Sure, things go up and things go down. I don't think it's the tracking but rather just the way the market is. Have I seen things that look suspicious? Yes. Have I had days with 600 hops to a sales letter without a single sale? Yes. However, I don't get worked up about it. Sure enough, a few days later the sales come back. I just keep building more websites.

      BTW, paydotcom is a lot worse. The vendor pays you on their schedule not paydotcoms. On Clickbank I get weekly payments consistently direct deposited.

    I use DLGuard software for my own CB product sales and it tracks sales for me just fine. I have not lost a single deal.

    I am not sure that sales really fall off like people think. Sometimes offers go stale after being promoted in the same place too long.

    Yes I know what you are saying; I too have noticed a huge drop in sales this month. It does suck because you get up and work on your sites every day and then all of a sudden the sales just drop. I have contacted them and nothing has helped; I do not want to switch accounts because that would be too much work.

    I am focusing on getting some other affiliate programs going so that way when I do have a dry spell with CB then I will have another income stream coming in.

    But yes it does suck; but unfortunately that is the name of the game I guess. Hopefully this does not happen every month.

        I've never changed accounts and i make sales every day, sure some days are worse than others but it's the same with adsense, I've had days with adsense where I've earned half what I've earned the day before..i've not seen anyone suggest google is having problems.

        Now i am not saying that everything is perfect at clickbank but if so many people have so much evidence why hasn't there been a class action lawsuit like there was against CJ?

        A quick question, has anyone who is making 20 or 30 sales per week therefore getting a lot of regular traffic having problems or is it just people making a few sales a week?

    I've never had to change Clickbank accounts... I've had to argue with them about sales $ limits, which is frustrating and their logic has been really inconsistent... apart from that, they've been all cool.
