Affiliate and/or freelance marketing.

I don't know what "freelance marketing" is. Sounds like to me it means you would provide marketing services to other people and companies as a freelancer. If that's the case. that would not be an available route for you as a newbie.

My guess is that these popup advertisers are renaming "affiliate marketing" to "freelance marketing" in an attempt to break into a market that is very saturated (affiliate marketing Get Rich Quick Info product/courses). People see "affiliate marketing" all the time and have become callous. Now they see "freelance marketing" and say HEY WHAT"S THAT, and click on the ad. But it's the same old stuff.

Anyway, as far as affiliate marketing is concerned, like others have said, the "easiest" way is to start a blog and write articles about different products/services in a tight niche that you are passionate about. You won't last if you try to promote things you aren't passionate about. Very hard to do for a newb. Your lack of passion will show in your writing and you will not provide value to your visitors, which means they likely won't be clicking on your affiliate links.

I say "easiest" because it really isn't easy money, but it's doable. You have a lot of things you'll need to work on, not just writing articles. Mainly, you will have to work hard on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and other ways to drive TARGETED traffic to your site.

No traffic = no affiliate sales = no food on the table.

But you also have to learn to write your articles so that they not only provide value, but also make people want to click on your affiliate links and buy the product being promoted, otherwise it will be all for nothing.

No one can really tell you how to do all this in a forum thread, obviously. You really have to research and learn about everything on-the-fly.

But your first step is to figure out what niche you want to promote, and get that blog up and running with a good 10 articles. You don't even have to have your affiliate links in the blog yet, just get the blog up and running with content. You have to take it in steps as you learn the ropes.

There's a lot to learn and it can be overwhelming, so don't scoff at having to pay for useful information because it will get you going faster and more on the right path. If you don't have money right now, save it up.

I don't know of any good, updated sources for affiliate marketing know-how these days, but Rosalind Gardner's Super Affiliate Handbook used to be the go-to guide for affiliate marketing back in the day. I have no idea if it is relevant enough for affiliate marketing today, though. But one thing is for sure, you will learn something from it. But don't go buying everything she promotes in the book, of course. She's a marketer so she's bound to try to entice you to buy things you don't need or don't need right now lol.

But before you buy her ebook, see if others can recommend a more up-to-date source.

Thanks for your reply Eva. First, since everything is done online. Don't see how location might me a issue for you. The best marketing strategy I know of is finding the right channel to advertise and bring in traffic. I don't plan to use any social media myself. But, as I said, I'm a new-be/wanna-be. Still learning with a long way to go and a short time to get there! I was just now approved by three different companies to become an affiliate marketer with them. My largest problem is, I'm not very computer savvy. Don't even know how to add these companies to my website yet. Would you be able to assist me?
