Video promotions vs email promotions

How would you compare video promotions vs email promotions in affiliate marketing?

It's interesting for me to get some opinions on this because most videos I've seen with promotions are the same and not very entertaining.

Add a little bit of personality and special effects. Entertain them in a visual way as if they are watching a show, and I think it could be much more effective with generating sales but more time consuming.

What's your opinion on video and email promotions?

Depends on your niche man, video generally works better. But if you have a responsive email list REALLY interested in a particular niche, obviously that would work great.

Best bet is to combine the 2 if possible

Videos can be an excellent way to connect to your audience, it is believed that people spend more time on websites when there is a video involved. Half of users actually look for a video before they purchase anything. On the other hand you can hardly go wrong email marketing.

Video! Especially ugly and simple video style! The one that directly tell people/viewers the solution they may look for when searching for video to answer their problem. The key is in the keyword.

Well, it depends on what you have in mind when mentioning "email promotion", this can have a large spectrum for many. Nevertheless, it would also depends on the approach you want to take using one technology and tactic or the other.

You see, for example, in the "affiliate marketing" area if one knows what one's doing video marketing is absolutely powerful to harvest leads from "reviews" searching, and hopefully you are BUILDING A LIST FIRST, because, then, once you have a well targeted responsive list, then "email marketing" is absolutely much more powerful because you are now "recommending" to a crowd which knows you already, as an "authority".

I'm what's commonly referred to as a super affiliate.

I promote offers via email and don't use video at all. The point of email, in my opinion, is to just generate enough curiosity to get a click and drive traffic to an offer landing page. Which then does the selling.

Since you are promoting other companies offers, what will the videos be used for?

Video promotions via Youtube works best for me right now! Email Marketing has become a bit difficult with Emails Providers Spam filters filtering out even emails to my subscribers. Further more the Open rate for emails have dropped significantly over the past few years.

I think, you're right, most of videos nowadays are too boring and I always want to skip them. In this case, e-mail marketing takes over and works better for me. Recently I have found a cool service that I am pretty good with and it actually skips spam filter, hope it will help some of you https://www.atompark.com/manuals/ato...ender/go-spam/

Both of them have the same weight. Business people, people who work and be checking emails regularly are also vast. So it depends on who your audience is or what is your service or product is.

They're both great and I recommend doing both! Some people will opt to watch the video, some will rather read.

  • Both work and will always work.

However, if this is your first interaction with a lead, then I would start with video. For the only reason to build trust with your leads. Your new leads can see you and get comfortable with you, which will build trust and eventually increase your sales.

However, not every single email needs to be a video.

  • I would do the email promotions because it's quick and easy, and people don't mind reading. Some like videos, some just want to scroll down and get to the point.

Plus, video or email..... it doesn't matter if your mail is landing in the spam/junk folder of somebody's email account. So you gotta past this hurdle too.

Email promotions is marketing your products or services by email can be a fast, flexible and cost-effective way of reaching new customers and retaining existing customers. It can also improve response rates to your direct marketing campaigns.
