How to get 100% targeted traffic!!

Hey whats going on warriors,
I just wanted to stop buy and give a killer tip that a
friend of mine used to do for his MLM business.

Let me warn you though, you will have to spend some cash
in order for this to work. Specifically around $200

Step One: Head on over to Amazon and checkout some of their books
that are the top seller in your niche. Now if you noticed some of these
books new are around $19.99 BUT they will also have used books for
about a couple of dollars or so.

Step Two: Purchase about 50 to 100 of those USED books.

Step Three: Head to your local Staples and print out about 100 or so
flyers. On these flyers your gonna want to put your marketing message there and put the flyer inside the book...make sure that its folded in half.

Step Four: Re-list those books on Amazon! Now whenever someone purchases those books they are obviously interested in that niche right?? Okay so when the book shows up on their door steps they are going to open the book after un-packaging, and wala! they get hit with your flyer.

My friend was involved in some MLM networks and he would get a few really good leads per month.

This is also great to do if you are involved in Real Estate as well.

Well I just wanted to put my .02 cents in and share a "Outside the Box" marketing trick.

Micheal,

I love the idea, that's thinking out of the box!

You can print the free report for them to make sure your flyer don't end up in the bin right away, and to keep them engaged.

    Micheal,
    Hi Michael,

Why spend the money? You can just as well hit all the local bookstores in your city/neighborhood and do the same. It's a sneaky tactic used for years in the industry.

Just quick a different bookstore once a week and a time when it relatively busy, then proceed to 'check out' some niche books while dropping your flyer conveniently.

    That'll save you the $200.

LOL, you are quite welcome guys. It's definitely 'black hat' or at least 'grayish.' I used to be in MLM years ago and know a trick or two about the industry.

      Glad to have helped.

I couldn't do MLM, I am way too lazy for it!
My friend used to print his business cards on
little half folds of Hundred dollar bills and just leave them
on the floor everywhere he went. HAHAHA

The response from people on the street is hilarious!

Yeah, MLM isn't for me either, not because I'm lazy but because I hate pestering people and cold-calling and with the company I was with it was all about that.

I've seen those $100 bills, they really are cool but they are not available in Oz. Great trick indeed.

          Take care

Please allow me to play devils advocate here if I may.

Do you have any verifiable statistics that show how this would improve anyone's business? Something like say verifiable ROI on the $200.00 for books, flyers and personal time spent getting this project underway. After all $200.00 is $200.

It just seems to me there is an awful lot of risk in using a technique like this for maybe 1 or 2 leads or any at all. After all $200.00 is $200 or for that matter any amount of money is money.

Just food for thought prior to anyone using this technique.

Please understand I'm not trying to kill the "out of the box" thinking process, because we all know that can be good.

I assume he is re-selling the books at a profit. If he raises the price enough, only highly motivated clients will buy it, the perfect lead to have the flyer. The campaign would pay for it self.

I do agree with you about the cost issue, but you have to remember though MLM is extremely hard to convert. People pay waay more than $200 just to buy "quality leads" There is alot of risk involved with this business.

Personally this business its not for me.

You are of course right, if he is able to resell the books at a profit or at least recoup the cost of the books. However, again you must remember the cost of the fliers and time involved. Which will include wrapping the books and taking to the post office, etc.

IMHO the cost of getting even 1 lead from that would be extremely high, even though highly targeted. However, if you have a very high conversion rate of those leads I suppose it might be worth it. But I can't see it.

Both sides of the coin should be examined prior to committing to an advertising strategy.

    However, each to his own.

Ken, if you read my first comment in reply to the thread you'll see that there is no need to spend the $200, so nothing will be lost but the time it takes to visit the bookstores and do the rounds with your flyers.

I certainly agree with you on the cost factor. It would be insane to roll with this without any demographics. Therefore I suggested the free version for those who want to give it a go.

I can tell you from personal experience that it didn't do the trick for me when I was involved with MLM. I think from a test campaign where I 'blasted' about 1000 flyers I got one lead that fluffed out in the end.

      Hope this helps.
