Questions about what a group coaching program entails.

Originally I just want to start a service-based online business but realized I need ways to get traffic to my site therefore i've been creating online course for a little while now. If I want to charge a low membership fee for people to access all videos and pdf for maybe $25 per month, I understand I'd need to run facebook group for weekly coaching. I guess my question is what is the difference between group coaching a low fee membership site versus $997 high end program?

Creating a course will not get traffic to your site. Doing things that drive traffic will though.

Pricing is based on the value you provide as well as how valuable your prospects see your content. What do your competitors charge? How are you different? What do you provide that no one else does? Can you truly help someone with their goal or problem or are you just creating a course?

Is your course related to the service you wanted to provide?

Not all group coaching goes through FB.

There are a lot of foundational details it seems you haven't addressed but it's good that you have started trying to learn more.

      Hi Mark,

The purpose of this online course i'm creating is in hope of bringing in customers to hire us to help them with the service we provide. As you know for some topics (definitely not something like how to run fb ad that you can get the hang of it in a month or two), it takes several years to learn and get good at (Not that i don't want to share with you what subject but often times after telling people what I teach they don't even know what it is so let's just skip that for now). My competitors charge anywhere from a small membership ongoing fee to a one time $997 big course just like any other niche out there. To answer your question, yes this course is of course related to the service i provide, and yes of course i can truly help someone to achieve their goal but i wouldn't be surprised if students try to reach out to us wanting to hire us to do the job for them instead after going through all the frustration of trying to figure out the physics of how to use this software. As for how would we be different than our competitors that'd have to leave it up to the customers to figure out. There're lots of life coaches out there, I'm sure alot of them know their stuff but in order to choose one that works for you you'll have to spend some time getting to know the coach then go from there. If you feel they can't resonate with you, you just move on.

They will not and, therefore, they will not have a reason to buy from you.

This statement right here speaks volumes to the issues you may be having in terms of " getting " new clients.

This is the VERY CORE of marketing... You simply cant leave it to the customer its ENTIRELY up to you. I would suggest you read up on USP ( Unique Selling Prospective ) This is HOW you separate yourself from everyone and everything else and create benefit in YOU being the right choice.

In the not so distant past a USP usually consisted of Free Shipping.. or Fast this or Guaranteed that.. THOSE are now norms and no longer considered "Unique" to you and your service. So learning #1 what USP is.. will be of great assistance to you and your efforts.. and #2 looking at everyone else and understanding how you can communicate HOW you are different will increase your odds of success.

Here is something I preach over and over in my 4000 plus posts... If you are having a hard time getting the traction to developing leads for your business how exactly do you think selling a product will be any different? The truth is, it wont be. and compound the idea that you are wanting to create the product to place traffic into your funnel of selling your service, that right now you are indicating isn't really effective.

What I am saying in a nut shell is you right now have 1 project.. a site I am assuming to get leads to have people buy your service - that is underperforming.. and you want to add a second project, a site that is selling a product parallel to your service - ultimately with the goal of turning that into traffic to buy your service.

There is nothing wrong with any of this... probably a pretty decent move actually. However, you will be compounding a non working sales funnel not once but twice.

You simply need to understand the PROCESS of sales a bit better. May I suggest.. Looking at posts by Claude Whitacre and Jason Kanigan. Both of them are extremely knowledgeable, and here on the forum very obtainable for questions... AND the body of work they have left over the years to be found here on the forum is literally invaluable.

        Hope the best for you!

A massive over-delivery of high-quality, high-value, actionable content for your members. I provide all of my best content for free that others with less quality content try to charge $$$ for.

I focus on providing my community a massive over-delivery of high-quality, high-value, actionable content... for $0.

Why? It helps a lot of people and it still makes me money. So it's a win-win!

        Hi Kevin,

If your method works why not I'd love to try too. Do you get traffic organically or through paid ads to your membership site?
