Best Online Payment Method

I am looking for best (cheapest or free) way to pay others online on a weekly basis. I am currently debating between Paypal via the "friends and family" function which is fee free, Venmo, and Google Wallet (although I am not sure about Google Wallet's use for business). I need a reliable and simple way to send funds. Any suggestions?

PayPal is really popular and still the universal way to send money to each other.

I tried Stripe but my customers complained that they couldn't use it with PayPal. So abandoned that experiment.

I like Paypal but will they have an issue if I use the "friends and family" function excessively? The fees for product and service are steeper than i'd like.

I seriously do not know why people do this. Sign up for a business account, it takes less than 5 minutes. Pay the fees, do not be so cheap. If you are going to run a business then you need to be in business and that means paying for services that you need.

      I hate subsack and stripe.

Substack are criminal, and stripe are ok, but but in cahoots with the big guys.....and i hear they are banning accounts, of bigger marketers.

Paypal is the best platform for business transactions. Venmo is mostly for social use and I never has used google wallet.

Honestly I don't think there's any better way of sending money online other than Paypal. Now don't get me wrong, I know there are options out there it's just that Paypal has stood the test of time. I must admit they can be a pain at times though, but they are the easiest and best way right now.

Paypal is still the best option. If Paypal freezes account then followup with them via phone using lot of patience to resolve any doubts they may have. Paypal does allow "digital marketing" however they are strict about their "Terms & Conditions". If Paypal cannot be used for whatever reasons then ORU & Payoneer are good alternatives.

One of the good things about PayPal is the customer protection side of things with dispute resolution etc. although their fees are not the lowest!

Why not just pay via ACH?

Pretty sure my bank charges $9 to send bulk ACH payments.

That's how I would do it if making weekly payments to a large number of people.

  • So many payment methods are introduced in the market but "PayPal" is the best method for payment nowadays. It is the best and secure way to deliver money online. If anyone does not like to pay through "Paypal" then "Google pay" is also the best method for payments.

If they can use Paypal, then that would be easiest method, however, if you use "send to friends/family" too much, to too many different people, inevitably your account will get flagged by automated system, and that can lead to imposed limit on it.

Personally, I try to avoid using Paypal for too many transactions as so far they twice chose to hold good portion of my funds for few extra months claiming its "to protect against possible chargebacks". They did unlock money eventually. Stripe never pulled that so I'd recommend Stripe over Paypal.

Btw, as of few days ago I noticed Skype now has a built-in method to send/receive money. Have not tested it yet.

PayPal or Stripe (not free, but very simple), otherwise just do a bank wire transfer - which may or may not be free depending on what type of account you have.

Bank wires cost money to send and receive each wire sent.

ACH only cost a single fee to send batch and doesn't cost anything to receive.

Well if you're trying to do business online, you have to pay to play. Sign up for a Business Paypal Account and consider doing a "paypal mass pay" or "paypal payout". Don't let things like fees sink your operation when it's obvious you're at the point of making money where you have to pay people now. You have the money, use it to streamline and help automate your business.

Have you thought about using Bitcoin? You can currently get away with paying less than $0.05 fees on ANY size of transaction. And if it is smaller transactions like say less than $200, you can use Lightning Network and pay less than 0.01 Cents (means less than $0.0001).

Bitcoin was invented to be an Internet native money. It also happens to be a hard/sound money which has a cap of 21 million units instead of normal fiat currency that is being diluted every year by further printing.

Paypal used to be the best. However, as happens with most organizations that have grown big, they have become insensitive to the small guy. Also their customer service has grown worse with each passing year.

    I recommend 2Checkout and Payoneer.

Good luck and may your happiness increase as your business grows.

P/S: Bitcoin is another fast, cheap, and hassle-free method for online funds transfer.

There's an app called "Zelle" which is great for sending money quickly and securely. The funds process instantly as well. It's also very user friendly. I definitely recommend it over more popular options such as "Cash App". I'm not sure if this would meet your needs but check it out!
