HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO DESIGN AND DEVELOP MOBILE GAME APP?

Well actually, it cannot be clearly mentioned anywhere how much does it exactly cost...!
Although you can just get estimation regarding your question. So, here it is...!
With technologies like augmented reality and virtual reality in the picture, the gaming community is more excited than ever to see how developers leverage them for gaming.
Probably this is one of the reasons why PUBG picked up so well. But as opposed to common belief no company or developer can tell you the estimated mobile game development cost just by knowing about your idea on a superficial level.

So how can you estimate the cost involved in creating your mobile game?

I've created a couple of mobile games - if you've got an existing connection with developers or designers who have assets lying around that are congruent with what you're trying to create you could purchase them and reskin them according to your own vision, which saves a ton of time and development costs.

It's based on what you're looking for in your game. Basically the more time someone has to spend working on your game and the more features you want then the more money you can spend.

Yes, there is no fix cost for design develop a game. You can only get the estimation once you share your game's requirements & features that you want in there with the developer.
Once you get that estimation cost, post that to a freelancers' website and grab a good deal.

It can be done for free in few hours. I made few just for fun when I was trying out free Unity. There are actually huge number of step by step YouTube videos on how to make simple games very quickly. One of easiest methods is to just reskin existing game, like million clones of Flappy Bird.

What you cannot do is accurately estimate end cost of project since there are plenty of times when even experienced coder will look at something, write list of steps, estimate time and cost involved for each step, ... then things dont go as planned, something does not work, you get stuck extra days, or weeks making it work, ... and its far worse when you are not doing it for yourself but for a client, as that adds ton of possibilities for miscommunication, changes mid-project, etc.

Gaming industry is right up there with construction industry when it comes to estimations. You get quoted 3 months and $5000, but end result turns out to be 2 years and $10,000. And plenty never get finished.

There's no estimation to be established unless you clearly define your vision and specification.

In this industry there are apples and oranges.

  • Since the building, an application is an expensive errand as it involves human labor, technology and a lot more which obviously doesn't come free. Irrespective of your app domain, be it customer oriented or business based, every app comes up with certain unique functionalities and features which adds up the bucks in your total budget.

Cost of a mobile app depends upon three major factors - Platform, Technology, and Functionality. Hence the cost is directly proportional to the level of advancement in the functionality of your application.

There is no fixed price everyone has different requirements for their game. so you first set your requirements on that there will be a rough idea of cost that idea will be exact.
