Hello Need some Advice...

So ive tried Host gator only to find out that the Wordpress set up was a little tedious and so i fell off the boat with it... what would you guys suggest as far as choosing another Hosting platform that make using Wordpress a-little simpler...

    It's not the hosting. There are literally dozens of videos and instructives on how to install wordpress on hostgator. There is a one click install for those who are tech challenged. HG has full instructions on their site.



    There are also many free blogs and tutorials online with step by step installation of Wordpress on hosting without using the one click install.

    I recently updated my WP product on a Hostgator site or a blog, and yep clunky and annoying. Although once you know where everything is then less clunky and annoying.

    Or it explains why l have stayed with Sitebuilder and HG, a lot easier and more flexible.

    I found hostgator very easy when installing a wordpress site. There instructions are simple and installs your wordpress site in just a few clicks.


    If you are having problems setting up a wordpress site on hostgator, then you wil have even more problems with another hosting provider.

    WP can be quite confusing when you don't know what you're looking at...it sucks, in fact. I understand why people use it, but cPanel is ugly and it can be hard to even find where to open your site. So you are not alone! Agree with the others who refer you to Youtube videos for tutorials. I'm sure Hostgator also has tutorials. If you're looking for a way to design your WP site easier, you can try a product called Divi by Elegant Themes, which is a simple drag and drop designer. There are instructions for you to follow to get that installed and activated.

    For an alterntive, go with any shared hosting that has cPanel and softaculous: https://softaculous.com/

    Does Hostgator still has cPanel? CPanel makes it very simple.

    Mate, save yourself the heartache and outsource it for $5 on Fiverr(dot)com.

    I promise you, if you aren't too strapped for cash and can spare $5 here and there for those niggly tech things that are frustrating you, that's the way to go.

    And try not to get disheartened by things like that, because believe me, you will come across many, many more issues as you move forward... and... if you keep jumping onto anything else just because what you've tried is too hard... you're screwed already.

    most hosting has one click install for wordpress and now they are selling dedicated wp hosting which once you point your domain to your hosting you are installed and ready to go. I am not sure how much simpler you need.

    As others are saying, it's not the web host that's giving you problems -- it's the learning curve of WordPress. Personally, I prefer to use Elementor, which is an excellent WordPress drag-and-drop editor. I've been loving it. If you're curious, message me and I can tell you more.

    As I know hostgator use cPanel for shared web hosting,which means it should be softaculous or fantastico auto installer so you can install it with one click...Any way,you can always search for managed word press hosting if you don't want to handle hosting environmentyourself
