Best way to market an Education/Online Learning Ecommerce site

I run an online Academy with off-the-shelf corporate learning eLearning courses in all industries. I am stuck trying to figure out how to get more companies to purchase licenses for their employee training needs. My platform offers completion certificates, discussion areas, etc. Where do you go to market these types of educational sites?

There's really only a couple choices; you either build up the audience organically via content marketing and email list building or you can pay for ads. I'm a big fan of Google Search Ads and have personally seen great ROI's using it for my clients.

Thanks Steve. I've been using Google ads for a while and I see a lot of clicks and impressions but they are not registering and buying the courses. :-\

Are you leading them directly to the product description/sales page, or are you generating leads first and doing your promotional marketing via email?

Yes, absolutely. To the landing page of the web site where they can see what the academy offers, about the co., and all of the course offerings. I don't have any emails collected as of yet, so I am just using social media marketing on all of our business accounts, PR releases, and Google adwords marketing. We get tons of visitors but they are not signing up or making purchases.

        A ton of visitors.

So first you examine where they came from. What brought them there? Then, what did they see, because it apparently isn't what they need or want.

Do you offer any samples? Do you have a free course? Are you capturing their email addresses?

        Do you follow up?

Where else online would they go to get what you teach? Why is it off the shelf? Can't you CUSTOMIZE it to meet the needs of potential clients?

The conclusion for tons of visitors and no signing up or purchases, is an examination of who you are bringing to the site, what are they looking for, and why don't they see it?

You are either targeting the wrong people, or your content isn't what they want, or you are not competitive in your market. What do you think the problem is?

I'm sorry, I did not give a full background of myself and my company. I have run my own Instructional Design and eLearning Development business for over 20 years. That is where I create classroom curricula and complete eLearning projects for my clients. Over the past 2 years I received many requests for OFT modules and that is why I launched the academy. There is a FREE course on the site and I have been working with Google Ad support to further target my ads to the right audience. I am thinking that is where the misalignment is occurring. Thanks.

    There are certain sources:
1- Google , try to rank for related terms.
2- Social media , try to get some paid likes on your brand page and post engaging content like questioner.
3- Platforms like udemy etc , launch your course there , then drive traffic to other related courses to your web.
    hope that helps.
