The biggest problem that I face is getting my backlinks indexed. This seems to be a painful process for me, especially for highly competitive keywords. I've not been able to rank my keywords in the first page for a long time now as I'm not using EZA anymore, I'm using another article directory. Sometimes I get really high rank, but the next day it goes off from the first page itself.

So, someone who is good at indexing backlink can lend me some help I hope.

This resonates with me for sure. It is one of the toughest problems I face. I have great backlinks from high PR sites that seem to take forever to get indexed.

Never seems to help if I use social media unless it goes viral, which has happened 2 or 3 times.

THE #1 Biggest Problem IMers face:

    (drumroll please).........

    Distractions/Procrastination

I know what I want to do, I can see myself doing it, I know it will only take 10 or 15 minutes of concentrated effort....

    BUT

I have to check my stats, check my email, check in here at WF, etc.

An hour later - that 15 minute task still remains undone.

Sounds like you need a plan.

Plan what you need to do tomorrow today.
Give yourself a time limit for each task.
Use a timer to make sure you get the task completed in the amount of time set for the task.

Follow the schedule and do not stray.

You will find that you get stuff done much faster this way.

I'm not saying that I DON'T get it done... I do. But it takes about 5 times longer than it should take.

I sat down yesterday and got the coffee in me and cranked out 3 video segments in about 2 hours - so I can do it.

It's just that the distractions usually cost me tons of man hours. Sometimes I think I just need to disable my wireless card

This is so familiar to me.I know exactly what I have to do, but it so easy to play online games, check stats or something else that is totally unproductive.Work first, play later...

I find myself in the same boat at times. It's seems like something drawing you to do it. It seems like you're trying to find booster rather than doing a task that might be boring or tedious. I write out a plan the day before and stick to it, crossing off each one as I go down the list. Make sure you also write checking email, stats and all those ohter distractions on your list, but at the bottom of the page. This will give you an incentive to complete your tasks. It's like having something to look forward too. It'll help drive you to complete your tasks. I hope this helps and Good Luck.

Yes, focusing is oftentimes tough, but whenever I come up with a plan that I think should be a win/win situation for both myself and my customers, I usually "just do it".

And it's really upsetting when I find out that all my work is wasted because my idea just don't work. And this happens often, although I sometimes do some tweaks to improve conversions.

So, in this case for me the real problem is no lack of focus but finding and implementing a strategy that really works.

Time and money to outsource = headach trying to balance the two is a pain lol I like to do things on my own and end up spending about 16 hours a day in front of this thing just cranking out data, promotion, content and so forth. I do try to outsource now but finding a good price and someone to get the job done right tends to almost take as long as if i just do it myself. Not sure if anyone else has this issue lol

Like the poster above, the overwhelming feeling you get from all the different methods available is something that's really held me back. Finally, though, I am settling down and focusing on just a few things at a time. In fact, I'm still cutting it down. Focusing on one thing at a time for at least a period of a few weeks has really helped me.

Another problem for me is focus. I find it hard to stay focused throughout the day. Before I know it, I've wasted time checking stats etc like winebuddy said above. To help this, I think about why I'm doing this. What do I want my life to be like in the future? Why working now will pay off in the future. Still struggling, but it helps.

My main concern is driving traffic.

Previously I was using Google Adwords and able to drive 100+ visitors per day to my MLM website. But now it just generate me around 5-10 visitors with the same keyword I was using previously.

I think the online marketing change way too fast. The blog comment marketing as well, most of the blog owners are now don't like the blog comment name with keyword. They will just remove it if you put your name with keyword. :-(

Those ebook that teach driving traffic will be outdated fast and most of them never update the latest information.

      My biggest problem?

Trying to figure out what my biggest problem is.

After close to 7 years of being at this, and finally at a point where it seems
so damn easy, I wonder if there are things I could do that won't take too
much time and effort (I really HATE working now) that will maybe squeeze
out a few extra bucks each month.

But I look at what I know and what I do, and I can't for the life of me
figure out (short of just outsourcing everything [which leads to bigger
      headaches]) what I can do.

So that's my biggest problem...trying to figure it out.

My biggest problem is my cat. Seriously. When he comes in at 6 in the morning, he wants food, and attention and to back out side then to come back inside only to want to go out again.

Motivation isn't a problem. I can see where I want to be in 5 years and I will not allolw anything to stop.

However getting time to do it can be hard. Just when I get fired up I have to go to work. Then I have to try and fit everything in at lunch. But thats why I get up a 6, so that I can make extra time.

My biggest problem is a catch 22 of sorts. My real passion is for teaching and instruction. I've been an amateur student of IM and made money and lost money. My talent though is taking technical matter and presenting it in a way regular folks "get it."

As you can see from my signature, I'm trying to get some traction going with a workshop in Atlanta. Right now I'm finding it difficult to reach my target market cost effectively.

My biggest problem is getting a website or page that converts. Traffic generation is not that hard but if your site don't convert then you are dead in the water.

I am sick of wasting days of work on a site and niche only to find out it doesn't convert. If I can get a 1% convertion on my traffic right now then I will be stoked. For instance I have a brand new site and have some traffic with about 160 visitors clicking through on my affilliate link but not 1 sale. The previous site I did was the same thing.

  • My biggest problem is that I don't sell. I get traffic, but I can't stomach the thought of writing one of those spammy sales pages. The traffic gets me some AdSense revenue, and I do sell a few of my own products by virtue of virtue, but I don't push like some of the more successful IMers do. Just not comfortable with it.

My biggest problem is having my hundreds of daily backlinks indexed, hands down.

How the hell does anyone complain about "procrastination" and "being lazy"? Unless you're in IM so that you can save the matinees, and you're not hungry for money, I don't see why motivation should be a problem.

I mean, if someone has to motivate you to go earn a better life, you should probably be going back to your cubicle, and waiting for that ripe, old age of 65.

      Getting Everything Perfect....

I've Set up My Website, Blogs, Affiliates, etc....
Then I read a book about how someone that has been successful sets all his stuff up and I need to alter a lot of my work to avoid some 'big mistakes.'

While avoiding the 'big mistakes' is awesome (I would be hampering my future success if I didn't take the advice I read) and essential, it takes away from my advertising and marketing time.

So, I guess TIME is my biggest problem. While I still work a dreaded day job and juggle kids, I have about 2-3 hours a night to really implement some of my ideas and strategies. It's a fast 2-3 hours.

It is fun though...the challenge of getting people to care about what you think and do online....I guess that's why we're all here....oh yeah, and the money!!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL ~ Kirstin F.

Backlinks in general, and getting them indexed in specific. Also, I seem to be running into a lot of conflicting ideas about backlinks - whether it's worth it to get no-follows, how many at a time it's safe to accumulate, whether Google will sandbox a new site because it gets too many backlinks to quickly, etc. I've seen good arguments for both sides of all those things, and I think I'm a little confused.

I would have to say staying focused on one task before going to the next urgent product launch or JV opportunity. I thought that there was something going on with me in that I just would move to another thing that looked good and that I wanted to learn about. Next thing I know, I'm still working on the same project and a month as gone by.

Right now its finding a autoresponder service that lets the user select the days of the week for email. I think constant contact does it so my problem might be solved

My biggest problem is getting JV partners to follow through with their part of the deal. I cannot tell you how many times I have sent promos for jv partners and when its their turn to promote me they just do not.
