Driving traffic to MVP-minimum viable product

I want to test some ideas. Testing MVP means i want to „offer" people something or confront them with „ideas" and see how they are reacting to it. From this i decide with which idea i continue an with which not.

For i example i would like to „test" what i could try to sell online or to see which topics people are interested in and which not.
For doing this first of all i need traffic - because it would be probably much of testing free (or almost free) traffic is preffered.
How can i get it?

Thanks

Hey Molzer, if you wanna test something to see if it works and do it cheaply, there are so many ways to do it. You can start by testing it in a Facebook group. You can do it here on Warrior Forum by putting in your signature....or you can try putting it out on a Safelist site like SOTAM to drive a lot of traffic to it and see the response..you can try those for a week and see what happens...good luck!

  • You can run a quick ad on Google Ads, Bing Ads... and if your offer is applicable for mobile audiences, use a platform like Yahoo Gemini.

Maybe invest a couple of hours in searching for the efficacy of focus groups in buying. You'll find a ton of info.

The PROBLEM is, there is a difference between what people SAY they want and what they actually will PAY for.

Then there is the FREE traffic issue. Do you really think that will give you results?

Better idea, do searches in different topics, use Google, Bing, Yahoo and YOUTUBE, since it has become the default search for younger people.

eBay gives you a lot of data, search for most sold items, for popular items, then search the SOLD listings to see what people actually pay for it.

The best focus study is when you pay them, and then give them the chance to spend most of that money on your product or service, with a huge discount, and so they walk out with both product and a few coins in their pocket.

Frankly, I'm confused. A MVP takes so little time to make and put up for sale, why not give them a choice, one against the other....the one they choose gets a 50% discount.

There is a ton of info on MVP marketing and it only takes a minute to find. Even here, they have a search feature.

I typically start by testing CONTENT before MVP...so I'll post a handful of videos on YouTube, FB, Insta and then drive traffic (sometimes organic which takes a little longer and sometimes with ads/boosts depending on how fast I want the feedback).

I use the demand for the content as well as engagement information (shares, comments, likes, etc...) to determine which markets/topics appeal the most.

At that point you can come up with MVP, lots of ways to do this...a webinar works, a basic report or ebook, basic 101 course, etc...

From there, you can use the feedback from your first customers to expand into additional product(s) and updates

How many likes, comments, shares is enough to gauge the interest? 20 likes out of 1000 targeted audience? Please expand further on this; in between i find this strategy very intriguing...

To be honest, generate traffic in 2k19 it isn't easy.
For example for work with SEO you need to know minimum 40 key factors (200+ in general)
you have to produce awesome content with amazing value for free
you need focus on seeding this content in SN and forums
Besides of that you need produce different form of content like video, presentation, infografick etc
you also could use FB ads
