How would I resell to my customers in this situation?

Hey, so after going back and forth with pricing of my one main product which I currently have titled as "full access", I have decided to focus my energy towards creating new products (as you guys have suggested to me).

The problem is that my current "product" gives people "full access" to everything on my website.

I have a "free member" option which gets people onto my list, and then I have a "full access member option" which gets them onto a different list, but still a list nonetheless.

Free members get access to a bunch of videos. Full access members get access to 12 courses and a ton of extra stuff. I definitely overdeliver for what I'm selling. However, rather then trying to squeeze every possible penny out of what I have already created, I figured that I'd just start creating some additional courses.

The problem is that people who have already signed up for "full access" might get mad if I create new courses that aren't included in "full access". In my sales page all along, I have always said "for a one time fee, you will have access to any and all additional content that is added to the site.

I will still continuously be adding to the "full access" area of my site, but I just want to have some additional products as well.

So my question is how would I get around this?

Thanks!

Not being sure what you promised when you created your "Full Access" product. I would give it to full access members for free and sell it to the rest as individual products like you are doing with the twelve courses. You could leverage your full access members to write, or do video, reviews for you

If you want to create additional products and market them to the same group of customers you already have, then sure, some of them may get wrinkly over the fact you said you'd always give them access to all content.

I don't know how big your list or client base is, or how long it took to build it, but one option is to create a new website with your new products. I don't know the type of products you intend to create, but if your name or face is not all over them, you could still later market your new site and products to your existing list. If they do make the connection, they wouldn't know you created those products secondary to the main website.

I wouldn't overthink it too much. Quality content reigns supreme. If it's good, people won't care too much about the details around having full access to all content. You said you would also keep up with new content for existing customers, so it should be fine.

I didn't realize you had 12 courses? I might think about funneling each one of those out separately, and selling for a set price giving you more avenues to push your "full access" Once that is set up... then start creating new courses. Added value for your full access members, and again another avenue to draw new members in.

I like this idea. I could maybe create 2 to 4 individual "products" out of what I currently have (not 12). And then "full access" could be for all of them.

What do you mean by "funneling each one out" though?

I think you're on to something here that solves most of your problems that I've seen. If you're able to break the courses down in a way that solves a specific problem, it makes more sense to have 3 or 4 courses and to price them individually or a buy 2/3 and get one free for access to everything.

As a side note, I agree that everyone who bought already is grandfathered in.

You've already promised they get full access to future content so there's no getting around this. So, current full access members are grandfathered in. Future members would get access to what they pay for no matter how you separate it all out.

That's my opinion based on what you've shared.

    Hi Bkelly301,

A couple of ideas that immediately pop to mind are:
    1. Change your policy while grandfathering your existing "full access" members. You could make this into a "Last Chance" promotion to get full access for life. That way anyone that was on the fence will likely jump to get full access,

Then you could offer lifetime access to individual courses, including a low introductory price on the 1st course. You could also include a mid priced offer for lifetime access to any 3 courses they choose, and finally a premium priced lifetime access for all products. This gives you a sales funnel OTO opportunity that will likely double or triple your average order value while significantly boosting lifetime customer value at the same time.

    2. You could create one or more new websites and launch new products under different domains. You could easily create one new website for each new product and use these products as lead magnets for your lifetime membership website.
In fact, I see no reason you couldn't implement both ideas.

    HTH,

    Don Burk
