Organic Traffic Value of $7000 while I generate $1000 only

Hello,

I have a content website, one of the SEO tools mentions that my organic traffic has a value of $7000 ( which means if I try to generate the same amount of traffic to the ranked keywords using google adwords I will have to pay around $7000).

However, my income from this website is around $1000 only.

Is this normal, or it means that I am not optimizing my site enough for income.

Should I target above $7000 income for this site?

Thanks
A

How would a 'tool' know what your traffic is worth? Any chance there is an 'upgrade' or 'product' for sale?

Isn't this similar to the 'frfee domain appraisal tools' - that spit out numbers that mean nothing?

Nothing wrong with increasing your goal - start by analyzing how much your traffic/sales must improve to move to the higher numbers.

They are time-wasting "fidget spinners." Just another shiny object to be distracted by.

it is ahrefs, the know which keywords I am ranked for , estimate the traffic I get for each keyword, then they traffic number * average CPC value for the ranked keywords

is not this tool accurate enough?

Most sites that make decent money do it on the backend.

If you relying on front end sales, or CPM, then you're probably missing out on a lot of potential revenue.

But either way, I wouldn't put much faith in any tool.

I did a case study (video) on you tube just yesterday about a you tuber who has an older channel of 9 years who made $7K in profit from Adsense for a video that got him over 1 Million and 300 thousand views. In that video I said that he could have made a lot more if he weren't just relying on ad sense income.

Some marketers could take the very same video with over 1 M in views and make $7M in profit by marketing some stuff on the backend.

So yes you can make more than $1K from that organic traffic but you will need to look into more back end compensation power like Michael said above.

A website is worth what you can sell it for, just like a house. It doesn't really matter what something appraises for, it's what someone with the money who wants to buy it is willing to give you for it. That is the real value.

Like others have said, most websites make money from the back end, from building up a list or audience and then making repeat sales to them.

The OP answered this question themselves.

The service you're talking about is estimating how much the traffic you're getting would cost you via AdWords. Not how much you should make based on how much traffic you're getting.

    Very different.

Organic SEO traffic does not guarantee that your viewers are buyers. With Pay Per Click you can láser focus on Traffic Buyers that actually follow through with orders.

It depends on the keyword I guess, I organically get traffic for keywords with CPC of $4-$6 such keywords with high value definitely have commercial value.

You can do the same with organic traffic. Just takes longer.

Yes, as everyone adviced, am not generating money via the backend, so I have to collect email addresses and follow with email sequence.

This could be the main reason why I am lagging behind.

Hello everyone.why do so many people misinterpret what that 7000$ means? It doesn't have to do with how much money you could make out of this website..it is clearly just referring to the amount of money you would have to give to produce the same amount of traffic by paid techniques. Now the amount you are currently making out of this website doesn't have to do anything with that value! Whether you are under-monetizing or not it is something completely different and something that has to do with your personal judgement

but if some advertisers are paying $7000 to get this traffic, they are probably making more of $7000 in profit of the same traffic while I make $1000 only which could mean that I am not optimizing the website for profit enough which is true because I am not generating any money from the backend.

The value of traffic should mean something for content and affiliate marketers.

The tool assumes that you're ranking at a certain spot; that your site converts at a certain (typical?) percentage, that you sell at a certain price.

In other words, the tool is making a fool of you and of itself...
