What's the next "big thing" when it comes to source of income in the internet?

It started with adsense, then affiliate marketing and then drop shipping.

I'm not saying that these methods are dead already but these are for sure saturated methods already where competition is very tough.

I wonder what the next "big thing" when it comes to source of income in the internet.

We're seeing the rise of being an influencer and vlogger having a decent amount of income but these two aren't for everyone. And maybe these two are already on it's peak and it's about to descend already as income source online?

What do you think is the next "big thing" on earning money online?

Voice maybe? I remember people that were developing alexa aps, that were killing it. Seems to be a good place to start, although it might be thinking a bit too into the future.

I still think that video is going to be huge. The next generations will probably not be watching tv anymore, since they can cherry pick and watch whatever they like. Makes it easier for anyone to "create a following" (that you can then transfer into the "next big thing" when it comes)

Well, I think the Basic Attention Token and Brave browser have an interesting project that would help publishers get paid more than what adsense pays out. It's still early days though with the project. Great browser already though!

Other than that, I feel like nothing else has changed. I can't wait to read what fellow warriors think.

Next big thing, maybe apps for smart watches? For around $500 you can get a watch that does almost everything a smart phone can do, albeit in a restricted screen way, and also take and receive calls just as long as the smart phone is on Wi Fi at home.

Only a matter of time before, (unless it already is, hard to tell) that smart watches will be stand alone or mobile phones in their own right.

    Witch is an untapped market.

Apart from that 3D, (princess lea type) smart phones, but they are probably a few years away. Although they will be massive when they do arrive.

I believe Android apps are the next big thing. There is still a huge demand for android phones and it will increase day by day, month by month as more people become tech savvy.

People want all the info inside their phones and if they can install a app which solves their purpose, its great. I have been creating apps since 5 years now and there is still a lot left in the market.

Blogging, from a genuine, generous energy, where one can monetize through 1 billion income streams or more. OK; maybe 50-100 streams. People have focused on 1 income stream, or a big *thing*. Going forward, it'll be about big *things.* More emphasis on service through blogging. Then folks will be making money through all types of income streams. Self-hosted Wordpress blogs will become every person's resume, for any endeavor. Then, earnings will increase in response to generous service.

Maybe DRONE delivery in rural areas?

But the next BIGGEST THING, within a decade, will be RFID tags on every human on Earth. Implants or tats, you will be tracked, you will have eyes on you 24/7 and your location will be known.

OR, more little rockets taking down the satellites.

The one thing that will never go out of style is having a targeted list of people who like, know and trust you. You can recommend ANYTHING to these folks that comes out that is new and relevant to them.

Trends, products and services come and go. Relationships do not. The real money is in the list, whether that list is email marketing, YouTube, social media followers, etc. Just my two cents.

Just off the top of my head I think that big news for tech in general as well as for marketing pros is the breakup of the big tech firms. Google, Facebook, etc. will have to share the action with others and this will open up a lot of opportunities for online businesses who heretofore have been unable to get a sizable piece of the action.

If you carry a cell phone or in most states a Driver License you can be tracked if the right people want to track you. With the right equipment, I can sit outside your house and tell you how much cash you have and the denominations of the bills.

"Big Brother" watching is not something new.

There's an 8 year old on youtube playing with toys who has made more money in 1 year than most will ever make in a lifetime. He did it on a platform that came out years before he was even born. People will always make money on the "next big thing", but there's still more than enough to be made with the originals. It just sometimes takes a little more creativity (or playing with toys) to make it work.

I'm interested to see how AI will change the world. It's obviously already here, but far from mainstream yet. Can a personal bot help one succeed online? Will bots have higher conversion rates than humans? Will B2B ever become bots-to-bots?
