Is this cheating or what??

A warrior purchased a book from me couple of days back and then immediately asked for refund on the ground that he didn't know where to purchase adsense code, and he doesn't know what the hell is Adsense.:confused:

I didn't believe when I first read these reasons for asking refund but any way I refunded him promptly. [That's why I'm against giving MB Guarantee:rolleyes:]

Today i got his mail again in which he is asking intelligent questions about adsense and the use of my methods which he is successfully implementing now.:confused:

What should I call this---cheating or ---------

Few days back I posted a thread here against offering MB Guarantee in the offers, and the above thing clearly shows why we should stop offering MB Guarantees now especially in IM niche.

Yeah it sounds like you got the short end of the stick. Unfortunately what it sounds like happened is that he copied your ebook and then got his money back.

There are always going to be people like that around. What rally gets me is that they have the nerve to come back and ask you for your consultation. WOW

If iwas you I would in the nicest way possible explain to him if he conducts his business like this then only failure is a head of him. You in no way want to associate yourself with him and will not do business with him in the future.

Wow that is really depressing of an customer's attitude.

Simply ignore his response to you..or if you are feeling sarcastic, hit him back with a "I thought you didn't know what is adsense?" kinda reply.

Yes that's exactly what I did, lets see what he says if he says anything at all.

      @Chris Morris

If he replies to my mail I would definitely offer him this option.

First off I do not offer MBG ... 2dnly it's called the cost of business... Call it anything you wish, just move on forget about it and keep your mind set on your business and your real customers.

Tell him you will gladly provide him one on one coaching for $5000.00 but he must send it Western Union before you can proceed :-)

    Good luck refunding that...

Yes, it certainly looks like cheating.
Unfortunately, seems like there is no reliable method to prevent it.

Many affiliate networks have their internal system of keeping track of refunds and taking care of users which tend to misuse it.
Not sure how the situation is here, but some kind of internal system which would protect warriors (or at least keep them aware of such (mis)users) could be really useful?

Anyway, as James said, those are cost of business and just move on.
Hopefully you wont have many of such "customers" in the future.

Well I personally believe MBG is a very debatable issue for Internet Marketing and businesses alike.

On one hand, you want to give a guarantee to people to remove any objections and hesitations.

On the other hand, you expose yourself to backlashes such as what sahi is going through.

I'm guessing the best way to tackle it would be to have a properly structured MBG.

One such method is exhibited by Steven Peters Benn in his products. More specifically, I bought his WSOGold product and this was his guarantee (somewhere along these lines):

    - 60 Days Money back guarantee
    - However on two conditions: have proof that you have really implemented the method and can't work AND
    - submitted a ticket to his help desk for help

By doing so you make people TAKE ACTION and at the same time prevent such fraud.

    I believe its a win-win.

Furthermore, the real reason we give guarantees is because we want to truly give something of value. And if our product/services does not give the buyer the value they perceived (and we market) then yes they deserve the refund in a way in terms of good business ethics.

    Also an after thought:
I think a large reason why IM has so much MBG while offline marketing doesn't (try convincing the bookstore that after reading the book, you think it is useless information to you) is because of the perception that IM is very risky.

People fear that after payment, the product they get is shoddy at best.

That is old time thinking IMO..

PS: Sahi, mind sharing your email response? hehe :p
