Anybody use Namecheap URL forwarding?

For a while now, I've noticed that my Namecheap domains take too long to load when redirecting to another website. (Usually between 5-8 seconds) - I know that's not AGES but I think it's enough for some people to click away or hit the back button.

The reason why I know it's Namecheap's end is because the raw link loads almost instantaneously. I also have a couple of domains with GoDaddy that load fine too. I've been with Namecheap for many years and never had issues like this before. I don't suppose anybody else is experiencing this at the moment? Cheers

I use namecheap with redirect and it loads super fast.

Maybe it's something about your website. I guess you have a website on your main domain? Maybe Wordpress or another CMS? if that is the case, a lot of plugins write in the htaccess things that they need to function well.

I noticed that, for example, my cache settings were in front of everything, and my redirecting rules (that are also written in htaccess) were somewhere at the bottom, and that made the link load very slowly.

Long story short, verify your htaccess and make sure that your redirecting rules are the first ones! This might be the cause.
