Help!!! Would you use and pay for my service?

Please I need you to help me validate an idea I have been thinking about recently. The idea is offering "banner ads design as a service" to Marketing teams and agencies on a monthly subscription... So marketers pay $xxx for 5/10/20 design task (design packages) for the month where you can request a number of designs per month, on demand.... The whole point of the monthly subscription is to help Reduce AD FATIGUE... We will design banner ads graphics for Facebook, Twitter, Quora, Ad platforms..etc on a monthly subscription... I would love to know if you would use/pay for this kind of service..... what do you recommend I should do to make this service valuable. I would be very happy to read your thoughts and recommendation... Thanks alot

I'm sure somebody out there might use it. Personally, I'd just pay for a dozen or two banners at once or one at a time and then rotate them forever. Sorry, but we already have nearly 100 that we can use for any website, so we really don't need the service.

Hard to see who your market is. The kind of businesses who run several banner ads every month would likely have in-house or contracted agencies that take care of their graphics needs. Smaller concerns wouldn't tend to want to commit to a subscription model, preferring to outsource that service as and when required.

Your best bet would be to either expand your offer to include other graphics/design options - which would be a highly competitive field to enter - or concentrate on banner design without the subscription element.

    • Could growthhacking agencies be a good market to target? Social media managers?

Possibly. But in most of those cases, banner advertising is likely to be just one element of the marketing/promotional mix. The better agencies would look for brand consistency and continuity for their clients across all media platforms.

        • Wow just seem like the banner ads design service is not going to be feasible... Although I saw a similar service (link removed) and I thought this idea makes sense... i think I am likely not correct.

Why not offer premium banners and offer bulk discounts? This way you target the individuals that need 1 banner and those that need multiple banners as well.

A monthly subscription seems a commitment that doesn't make that much sense to make.

I think people focus more on the quality and effectiveness of banners. If you buy one awesome banner you can buy 100+ more if you want.

I mean, I don't see the advantage your idea provides. You can get bulk discounts even without a monthly subscription, so what's the win here?

    • Yeah true points... I thought when you order a single task... you could also purchase a bundle like 5 banner ad designs within a month. Especially if you are A/B testing your Ads.
The "monthly" means once you pay for the bundle... You can order all those designs one task at a time anytime within the month... Like pay once for a discounted bundle for a month.. Order ads anytime within that month

You need to remove the time element from this. If I purchase a bundle of 10 banners, why in the world would they need to all be done in a certain time frame? You have the money already; why do you care when they are actually requested/delivered? As the purchaser, I'd be be more inclined to get them as quickly as I could so that your company didn't disappear sometime down the road, but that's not your concern. Let them request them whenever they want as long as you already have their money.

The monthly subscription doesn't fit on this, unless you create a SaaS platform like canva or envato element.

Or like other said here, you're better offering a premium service with a bulk discount option.

I personally wouldn't pay for such a service. Well, that's just me. But it is important to first find out whether or not there is demand for what you offer. You may even try test marketing. It may well surprise you.

Well I'm a graphic designer myself so I'd obviously design my own ads, but I do know this industry pretty well and can offer my own anecdotal observations if it's of any help.

In my experience, there really isn't a very large market for freelance ad designers. Like a previous poster said, companies that have large enough ad budgets to need ongoing designs usually hire digital marketing agencies to manage their campaigns, and those agencies usually have in-house designers that create the ads.

I've worked with several digital marketing companies in the past. They outsourced their ad designs to me for a while, but they eventually hire their own designers as soon as they can afford to.

Of all the design services I offer, ad designs are at the very bottom of the list of items that people ask me for. I've designed more podcast covers than I have banner ads.

    • Please advice me... What graphic design service have you seen much demand or recommend?

    Personally - No

As a small marketer I can get the job done for free by doing it myself or very cheaply on the likes of fiverr etc.

Not convinced banner ads is a market with big mileage in it anyway.

A larger company might consider it but I have doubts...

    Good luck with it though!

The issue with this is in the marketing and who you talk to about it. Most small business owners have to be sold on the value of what you can provide as the end result - very few will know about banner ads and will just see it as more work they have to do. Most small business owners statistically aren't even online much less using PPC, so it could be a tough road to hoe unless you can offer white label services to smaller agencies or older legacy agencies that need PPC more. That's who I'd target honestly.

Your best bet is to do direct outreach to media companies / heavy advertisers

Work on the enterprise level instead of drumming up demand on forums

Your model is volume-based so target a different channel

I don't mean to undermine your services, but bear in mind that tech advancements have really simplified the making and editing of banners. I'm not saying that the results would be as great as your services, but with online banner editors, it really has become very simple to make high quality banners.

In some cases, poster my wall allows you to re-create banners and posters that designed by experts and have formerly been used for campaign, but the uploaded versions of the banners allow users to customize almost every element of the banner, allowing newbies to get customized versions of banners that pros wilfully shared on the platform.

Fiverr is another major player you should look out for. It's common for agencies who lack dedicated graphic designer to outsource their graphic needs to freelance market like Fiverr.

However, it all depends on the quality of your visuals. If you do a remarkable job, you'll manage to create demand around it.

    Good luck to your endeavors.

I am mostly an affiliate marketer, Most vendors whose products I promote provide banners. Plus there are sites like canva where you can make banners for free and there are lots of inexpensive banner software solutions available.

so, no I probably would not need your service
