What is the minimum product price necessary to attract affiliates?

Don't know much about how affiliates work. Saw some Neil Patel videos and he says 1k-3k is the ideal price for a product. Is it possible to attract affiliates for a $19 product? (My product.)

Thanks in advance.

If it's going to sell like hotcakes then yes it is more worth than the 1k-3k product.

19$ seems at a good price. What is the niche of the product?

    Hi Bobby,

The idea behind what Neil Patel is saying is that it takes just as much work to sell a $3,000 product as it does to sell a $30 product. He's talking about what's called "High Ticket Sales".

However, if you don't know how to market and sell an item on the internet, it doesn't really matter how much your product costs. If you can't put it in front of the right people, your product could be free and you wouldn't be able to give it away.

Affiliates know how to do this and they want to spend their time marketing quality products that will convert into sales, regardless of price. There are many products on affiliate networks like Clickbank that cost under $30 and they're able to sell because affiliates know how to drive targeted traffic to it.

    Best,
    Mike

As Mike has said, I believe you misunderstood the $1-$3k price point concept of affiliate marketing. Your $19 product is fine as long as it's profitable for you and affiliates. You still need to know how to market it properly whether it's $19 or $3k.

Mainly what attract affiliate is EPC.

Affiliate wants to know how many money they'll be making.

This is why you see product owner add more products and funnel, bump up commission to affiliates in order to increase EPC.

Thanks. I have some super basic questions:

      1) But if the price is only 19 then the max EPC is 19 isn't it?

      2) I don't know how I'd add more products. There are 10 products, but few customers are going to want more than one of them. In a few years there will be more complimentary products. But not now.

      3) What's the funnel in this case?

      Thanks

It depends on the funnel. Some people will sell products for $29 or $39.00 with 50% commissions to the affiliate, no upsells. While others will sell products from $7.95 to $12.95 with a 100% commission but with several upsells where the affiliate will get 50% on those. There are many variations. An affiliate will look at the whole funnel and see what the overall commission could be

Yeah, I don't see where there is any funnel or upsells. There are just 10 products. All $20. And people only need one of the 10. So that's just it. $20 max per customer. So it seems like 50% no upsells is an easy way to get started thinking about it. Does that seem right to you?

I'm not so much worried about the price. It's more about how easily it is to convert and how much it makes overall. If it's easy to convey but doesn't pay crazy then that can be ok.

It's not just about the payout. How well it converts is just as important.

You could have an offer that has a huge payout, but if it converts poorly it may not even be worth running.

These cheap product prices are designed for one thing. To get people on your buyers list. While many affiliates will not promote them, if you are buying traffic it could be beneficial to you.

1-2 bucks is not a good idea.
If you want to attract top affiliates give 90% commissions on front end product and you earn in upsell.
And if your product have any upsell then 50% would be ideal.

Yes it is possible to attract affiliates for a $19 product, if you give your affiliates 100% commission for each sale they make.

You should understand there is a lot more work needed for attracting affiliates here and mainly selling the product itself with the cost of $1k-$3k or something like that instead of $19. Which commission do you propose ? I would rather promote yours than Nail Patel honestly

The affiliate marketer attracts, not pricing.

Associates sell my nearly 170 products on Amazon because folks believe in me, knowing selling stuff I produce yields profits.

Focus on getting clear and building authority to attract affiliates.

Most of the time I look at how much the offer % is, Some goes 50-70% of product cost. Then you can see which one works for you and most important when did you get paid.

So if payment takes long time and you need to reach many sales target to be approved to get paid.
Don't look at the affiliate matter from one side only.

I had worked with Marc before, The owner of The logo creator software. At time product price were $37 and "instant payments" 50%

This instant payouts got me involved in selling some of his products.

I am sure you will find many ways to attract affiliates to promote your offer even with low price.

There are lots of factors. For example, Amazon only pays a few cents to a few dollars per sale, but they attract millions of affiliates.

The major factor would be the niche and the commission rates for similar products to what you are considering. Plus, affiliates will want to know you have a good refund policy, good affiliate tools, and great customer service.

I personally would rarely promote anything I make less than $20 on per sale, but I know lots of other affiliates who enjoy promoting low cost items.

I would suggest you test it at two different price points and commission rates and see what turns out to be the most profitable.

I must say this thing totally depends upon the industries that what type of industries you want affiliates. Plus there traffic worth. How many sales they claim. If there are good affiliates they will ask for good CPA's for sure.

People won't promote that for you but when they can earn $50-$1,000 +, you will get more excitement.

Give them tools like banners, email, ad titles, and they will be more then happy to promote for you.

Make sure your product is good.

    Set the price.

Show people how they can make money.

    Support those affiliates.

Definitely doesn't have to be $1k-$3k to attract good affiliates.

I even promote things that pay me $0.50 because they are easy to convert and I can pull in a lot of them.

    Best wishes.

  • Hi Marketing Bobby,

as always, there's no one-size fits all answer to this. If a product sells, no matter if for $1-2 or $1-2K, depends on various things:

    - The market size
    - The products perceived value (USP etc.)
    - The customer demographic (age, geo, income, etc.)
    - and more...

There are affiliates making millions of revenue with $1-2 offers (sweepstakes, CPI, CPL, lead gen), and people making millions with $19-99 offers - and of course, people making millions with $1-3k products.

It all depends on what it is, who it's for, etc.

Generally speaking, the lower the payout is - the bigger the market size should be. And the higher the price point is, the smaller the market usually is.

I sold both, $1,000 offers (services) and $37 digital products online.

The key is to test, test, test. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Yes you can attract affiliates for a product of even 19 or 20 dollars it all depends on the commission they will get from it when they make a sale

Before setting the affiliate price of your product, ask yourself first.

Will you pay the settled price to buy your product from someone else whose merits and demerits are already in your mind?

If you think that it is fine then go for it. Also, make sure to target the right audience and strategy to present your products.

    Find your competitors

Find the ones with affiliate programs

Take a look at their price points
