What's up guys, so I'm currently doing door to door summer sales, selling home automation and security systems and I gotta say, it's incredibly challenging. I can't help but feel there's gotta be more effective and/or efficient ways to generate leads and sell my product rather than knocking door to door. Thankfully, due to the way our internal system is set up, though not advised, I can essentially sell to anyone located nearly anywhere in the U.S, all through the phone. For this reason I intend to use the internet to my advantage to generate leads.

Let's assume that I can use my companies name is my marketing efforts and that I have plenty of nicely produced video ads that showcase what our system is all about. What are all of the ways that I could go about generating quality leads.

The first thing that comes to mind is running some targeted FB ads using these videos, prompting those interested to fill out a form with their contact info, so I can reach out and pitch them. What are some other methods I can use?

Much appreciation in advance!

Contact the marketing department of your company for demographic profiling info

That should be your first step if you intend to use FB ads

While you're on the right track with FB video ads, your targeting has to be tight or else you can easily spend TONS of cash on FB and have nothing to show for it.

It IS possible to get cheap clicks off FB but you have to do lots of trial and error first.

It took me a while to get the results below. It's not something anyone taught me or something I can teach anyone else since it's all trial and error and there are so many variables to MASTER

Personally, if you're looking for a cheaper marketing option, go with OUTREACH marketing to influencers

Should we believe it or not, and very few people realise it in reality but, this is exactly what MARKETING is all about, it's an art, almost a science...

      Cheers!

Although FB ads is a great way to capture leads... it's a steep learning curve for a beginner. Alternatively, since you have nicely produced videos... I think you should be leveraging Youtube.

Youtube traffic is FREE... more importantly, YT ads are more effective - yet cheaper than FB ads.

You just need to formulate a plan of action to capture leads!

    Good Luck

I'd do FB Lead AD > Free Offer > Time-Limited Offer delivered via email sequence.

I'd also test a Google Search Ad campaign as search engine traffic is typically further down the marketing funnel than social media traffic, in other words, they're more likely to take action today!

Also, you could start with a good sales pitch in written form as it will allow you to ship faster. I know quality video production can be costly and time-consuming.

    Good luck!

    Hello HOTSAWCE

Youtube - Low Cost - put your Ads over the top of high traffic videos on the same subject

Gmail Ads - Low Cost and little used

Both offering the same precise targeting as Google but at very low cost.

    Cheers

You can advertise on Craigslist. You should also advertise in news papers of major cities with high crime rates. Google Adwords, Microsoft Ads, and YouTube are also gold mines.

Look into Snapchat advertisements. You can target by the US specifically as well as your age demographic as i'm assuming 18-20 might not be your target market.

I originally posted this in the wrong thread by accident... I recommend you go look for the Legion of Loan Officers, run by Nick Carpenter, on Facebook.

Besides of Facebook Ads and their precise targeting you really can use Google Adwords and Microsoft Bing for the phrases you really need to. Be sure to make good keyword research for that matter. Thanks in advance. Good luck, my dear. You can even do something like Reddit for example if you will see how.

If I were you I'd use video marketing in order to showcase what your systems can do. You have to do a good job in convincing people that these are worth the investment. The first step to doing this is convincing them that this indeed would be an investment and not an expense that's unneeded.

You could try to compare your security systems to other forms of protection for the home in order to get people interested. You can sell them on the ease of setting up and using the system. I think a good video series focusing on the vulnerabilities of a home without a security system would work wonders if done the right way.

Plus FB ads tend to make people think they can just throw money out there and money will flow in. Utilizing a semi-free option such as creating a video series forces you to be creative and put more time and energy into the project.

Create an IRR. Offer...and provide FREE...may be a FREE consultation?

Then put that offer in front of your targeted audience via FB ads and collect their emails and phone numbers...and follow back

And then follow up via email and phone with VALUE, BENEFITS and RESULTS they will get by using your systems...while crushing their objections...

    Hey man,

Usually, doing Fb ads to get a commission, i'm guessing that's how you're paid, sucks big time.

    So I wouldn't do that.

If you're getting commissions, it's hard to find a way to advertise the thing. U have to work with a fraction of the money of the product, not good.

So, if you want fb ads, make it for your business. If not, dont go there and use a free plateform to advertise. That's going to be time and effort. But you got a good niche with good margins. People will pay money to be/feel safe.

So, to get the leads, i'd do it the "old" ways, i'd just email and contact potential prospects. Linkedin could be a good place
