New Website or Existing Website For Affiliate Marketing

I want to start an affiliate marketing website and trying to decide if I should create a new website and domain or if I should use my existing website that has been around for 15 years.

The existing site is in the same industry as my niche for the affiliate marketing. Is the older domain and website beneficial for what I want to do or should I start from scratch?

    basically it doesnt matter
    for SEO is of course better if you use your 15yo website
    but even if you would create a new website it doesnt matter

    on your place if I could choose I would use 15yo website
