Warriors-Layout A Good Marketing Plan To Model If Your A Newbie In IM

Hey warriors, I wanted to start this thread to help some new internet marketers. I know there are some out there that could use the information and maybe even benefit from some helpful tips from some more experienced marketers.

So the question is: What is a basic business model that any starting out newbie internet marketer can implement to start building their online business and making some money.

I didn't really feel like writing mine up so I made a quick audio hehe sorry...

Yes, my model is pretty basic but you can get the jist of where I would start out, and how you can get a basic start in internet marketing... I will update this thread in more detail too...

Ok warriors, so chime in, help a newbie with a basic marketing business model...

My Model In Text...

  1. Choose and Select A Market
  2. Research A Product/s From Clickbank
  3. Get A KW List Of Long Tail Keywords (Research KW's On Google As Well)
  4. Look Into My Markets Forums, See What They Are Hungry For, What Their ?s Are What They Need
  5. By A Domain To Forward To My Affiliate Link
  6. Create A Free Video/Report To Give For Free
  7. Create A Opt In HTML Page With Strong Call To Action
  8. Setup MY Auto-Responder With 10 Messages (Articles, Videos,Interviews, Reviews ...)
  9. Create Accounts At 3 Top Article Directories (write 2 unique articles per day for each directory and submit)
  10. Link My resource box back to my opt in page
  11. Link My Opt In Page So After The Opt In They Head To My Affiliate Sales Letter
  12. Keep Cranking Out Articles, Bookmarking Them And Try To Get 100+ Up In The Next 30 Days
  13. Build My List, And Establish A Relationship
  14. Rinse Wash And Repeat In Other Markets

Dennis! Quit giving away this stuff!

Come on man, let the rest of us make money in peace, you just took a lot of guesswork out for newbies that took me a year to learn.

    Hahahaha! Great post

Might I add though, buying PLR rights to a product and using that instead of an affiliate link, that might get you a bit more of a profit.

    Otherwise good stuff.

This sounds like a joke, but it's not.

    1. Quit your day job.
    2. Refuse to get another one.
    3. Refuse to borrow money.
    4. When money gets tight, reduce your expenses.
    5. When the money runs out... presto! You'll figure it out.

It's possible that what you figure out in the end is that this line of work really isn't for you and you really should go get a day job, but in general, desperation makes you creative and industrious. You'll have more and better ideas, and you'll do more and better work. Those two things fit together and demolish all the crap in your way.

          Dennis,

You have a pretty solid plan. I'm not sure if you were looking to get advice but here is what I would add...

Develop a product/service for the list you've built.

And participate as joint venture partner in product launches with your list.

You've worked so hard to build a list, there's no use in letting it go to waste!

Hey Dennis, thanks for the great info. Sorry if my questions are noobish in nature.
You lost me a bit on the PLR step.

When you create the PLR free gift (videos, article, reports) , are they relevant to the clickbank product?
Is the opt-in page, simply a landing page to capture email and offer the PLR? What other kind of crawlable content do you want on this opt-in page and once they provide their email address, is the submit button the actual affiliate link and then the free gift is sent to them via email?

    Thanks!

Yes, when you create or buy your free giveaway make it something regarding the topic of the affiliate offer. Example , lets say your marketing a diet product, you would give away a free video or report sharing 7 Top Tips For Creating The Perfect Diet Plan To Lose Weight

Then they would enter their email and after that your auto-responder would send them the report/video and they would be forwarded to your affiliate sales page and opted in to your list

So correct me if I am wrong, the affiliate link is clicked at the same time they submit to you their email address and opt/in on your landing page?

Or is the affiliate link sent to their email along with the free article/video?

No the affiliate link is not clicked the same time they submit their email, on the opt in page.

When you setup your autoresponder and get your html code to insert the web box on your site there is a option to redirect the person who submits an email after they hit submit. This is where I like to enter my affiliate link. This way then that person hits submit. An affiliate sales page will pop open in a new window all the while my free gift is being rushed to there email address

I like this. I never played around with this that much before but I wondered about it. Gonna have to look into that.

Great tips. It's a simple template, although I think some newbies will get stuck with the how to on some of the steps.

Gotcha... so if they don't convert on the affiliate offer do you monetize their email address some way?

            Thanks BTW for the info!

I would also add a wordpress blog or two as well. They're so great for SEO, and the content management system works great, so you can easily add more content. You can repurpose some of your blog posts for use as articles or video scripts too. Plus a blog gives you pingability and the ability to get backlinks from things like blog carnivals, blog directories, and specialized web 2.0 sites like tip'd.

    Great thread!

I found WF after wasting a LOT of money buying banners, ppc programs to promote our diet product. The great news is that this product WORKS and gets a lot of word of mouth referral.

However, were now looking to IM better. So I took it upon myself to understand how things really work.

We presently have our main, the healthblog site and are putting together a landing page with a strong sales letter (thanks Matt!)

However, what I don't understand is what the approach to backlinking and organic seo should be.

i.e. - where should the backlinks in our ezinearticles point? If we use one of the popular wso link packages, where should those point?

Right now, our blog is a subdomain of our main site. But I'm thinking that it should be on it's own unrelated domain?

also, when you sumbit articles can you publish them in your own blog as well? Or should they be changed for maximum impact?

Thanks so much for your help warriors!

With regards to organic search, if you're articles posted at EZA contain the same keywords you are trying to rank for on your product site, there's a chance that your article page at EZA will out rank the actual page you are trying to drive traffic to.

chris, does this mean that a different set of keywords should be used for EZA subs?

I'm not posting articles on my landing page or our main site. Just on page SEO. I'm posting articles to my blog, and then leaving backlinks to the blog AND sales site.

    is this the correct approach?
