when someone opts into an offer and its a clickbank offer for a free giveaway and its the affiliates link. if at any point the leads buy the product does the affiliate still get a commission or is it cookied and theres a certain amount of time before it runs out.

Well it is pointless asking that question here, as we all may as well guess, go back to the offer and read the information supplied and see if it has a cookie duration period.

When you look at products like that, it is best to sign up for the list using your affiliate link when singing up. Then when you get the emails click buy now, when you get to the checkout page scroll to the bottom and you will see "Affiliate=??????" it should show your affiliate name where I placed question marks, if not then you are out of the commission loop.

It varies from vendor to vendor.

You'll have to check with them and see how they do it.

From my understanding the affiliate gets paid when the person, immediately after clicking on the affiliate link, buys the product/service right then and there. If the individual close the browser, without bookmarking he site with the affiliate link, then the only the affiliate will get paid is if the person re-use the affiliate's link.

    Thank you.

I never promote asqueeze page from a clickbank affiliate program unless their jv page states that I will get paid when the optins i send buy through the follow up emails.

If your vendor did not state that on their jv page (they would/should include that fact to get more affiliates), then I would suggest that you don't promote their squeeze page.

I think the cookie sits for 60 days before it disappears. so technically , if a person buys within 60 days and as long as the person hasn't deleted browsing history; you should get the credit.

It can be or cannot, depends what kind of policies your vendor has on his sales page or profile, ask him directly so you dont waste your time and money

Most vendors claim that they will protect your affiliate commissions when they send out the followup Email but many do not. So you will need to see which vendor you are working with.

  • Hi!

ClickBank is a great place to enter the affiliate marketing space. They always make sure things run smoothly.

    How do I know?

I'm managing a brand new ClickBank offer (called Hack Your Carbs), and every product has to go through a specific approval process.

For those products that run with optins, they have to add affiliate attributions to their optins. So whenever someone signed up through you your ID will be added to their contact. And even if they buy 1 year later, the attribution should still be yours, because you brought in the customer. That at least, is how we learned it. Also, those vendors need to prove that it works that way to get approved...

    Hope this helps!?

First Congrats on starting with clickbank.

Regarding your question, you first need to check with the product list and see the cookie period. If a person clicks on your affiliate link with in the cookie period and make a purchase then you get commission.

    Its that simple.

But if you build your own list, you can benefit from the sale at anytime. Even a year or two later.
