How can I auto-reply to my subscribers????

I'm using Google Apps but I don't like the vacation auto reply feature because:

1) I think it has a limit of 100 emails per day and I'm getting more emails than that everyday.

2) It only sends 1 email every 4 days and some people email me several times.

Is there a more advanced feature than the vacation auto reply one?

Yes, I have this same problem.

I think the best thing to do is just use Gmail for pop access on a POP3 at your site and create the autoresponder at your site. The only problem is the endless loop if there's another autoresponder on the other side.

Curious to hear a suggestion other than a script

And to that end, would we be talking about a script that works with Google API?

If so, that would be way cool.

I hope there will be more than "get some script"

Is this your email list? Seems, well obtusely restrictive the amount that you can send.

Try using phplist.com : Homepage : home it is free download and has personalization features. Just install onto a server that allows unlimited email sends and your ready to go.

If this is for an email list, then this shouldn't even be a consideration.

But I truly believe this guy is talking about an incoming email addy.

If anyone has a Google script, though, that would be slick rick.

      I use Aweber.

I'm talking about auto-replying with a FAQ to those who reply to my follow ups.

Do you plan to have a customers support like the big guys have?

        Like this:

Subscriber: "Wow, great product. When do you plan to launch your next one?"

Customers Support: "According to our standard procedure ... it's raining. You can find more details reading this FAQ"

Subscriber:  ... I see ... so you're too busy to take care of a prospect :p

    That's what I figured.

I use Gmail for the auto-reply to and didn't realize the limit on auto-replies.

Like I said, I would put an auto-reply mechanism on the domain through Cpanel or whatever control panel you use. The only issue is the endless loop that occurs if an email is sent to you from an autoresponder email address.

It doesn't happen to often, but it's WHEN it happens that it sucks and I had to turn it off.

And there is inevitably someone that constantly triggers it, some marketer usually

I think this is going to require a script and some programming on a custom level unless there is an app out there already. (light bulb moment!)

You can use Gmail and the "canned responses" lab feature. Then set up a filter for your incoming mail
