Need Help Deciding On How To Get Started

Hey everyone,

I'm a total noob to IM. But I've done my homework over the last year and am looking to launch my product 12/1/09. I have no list, so obviously I need to get some JV's and affiliates on board to promote the launch.

I can't decide if I should just put the product up on clickbank, try to recruit some JV partners outside of clickbank or a combination of them both.

I'm leaning toward both, by starting with a JV partner launch with higher commissions, bonuses, prizes, etc. and then putting on clickbank after some traction is laid.

The problem I'm running into is I haven't come across any material in my training that teaches how to find JV partners, so I'm kinda stuck...

I'd really like some feedback on how I should structure the launch and some ideas on how to find JV partners.

    • NOTE: Typically you should be contacting JV partners about 2 months in advance before your launch.

      Another way to find JV partners is this:

      1) Search your main keyword(s) on Google.
      2) Click on some of the natural and paid results.
      3) Scan the web pages to see if those people are capturing subscribers.
      4) If so, they have a list and they are in your target market (since you searched with your main keyword right? )
      5) Copy/paste all the domains of the the websites that are list building in your niche onto TextEdit or Notepad.
      6) Open two tabs in your browser, in the first one go to Better Whois: The WHOIS domain search that works with all registrars. and in the second go to Domain Tools: Whois Lookup and Domain Suggestions
      7) Start going through your list of domains and getting the contact info of the site owners.
      8) Create a custom video for each person in which you explain the offer and the benefits of your promotion, as well as the details of the launch.
      9) E-mail or call these site owners with your proposition and direct them to your JV video if they're interested.
      10) Repeat the process for some of your secondary keywords.
