Mailchimp survey merge tag in button does not work

Hi,

For our dutch email campagne I would like to give our customers an option to easily request for contact. The only option I could thought about was the survey merge tag. This gives us the option to see exactly which customers clicked the button. To maintain a as high as possible conversion rate, an external form (for example Google Forms) is not my first choice. Our account manager is able to contact customers, because in the Poll results (Analytics360), we can see who clicked the link.

I think the regular link which Mailchimp generates is quite ugly, so I tried to add the merge tag to a button. This does not work, as at the preview screen I see a part of a code. I did a test email, the code is also appearing there unfortunately.

I tried to add a button with a manual added code, but this also did not work. All the support pages doesn't answer my questions...

Does anyone know how to get this link into a button? I would love to get this problem solved. Thank you all in advance!
