Facebook Page Promotion with Link to website to entice Conversions?

Curious if anyone has done this with decent results? You do a page promotion which will boost your facebook followers, but in the same page promotion text, you have a link to a product or call to action on your website. Best of both worlds!! Its like a page promotion and a conversion campaign all in one!

Yes obviously. And like you said, it's a two in one kinda game; using one stone to kill two birds. However, page likes can be more guaranteed than conversions especially if you're running a page promotion for the first time. Conversions in most cases is guaranteed after series of promotion.

    Hope that helps

Strange you noticed now. I tried this technique last year. But I didn't get good conversion. If you need conversion, so you have to run campaign separately. This technique didn't worked for me.

It's a tough one, depending on your niche and how competitive it is. It's easy to get page likes first, then maybe go after website visitor's once you've built a following for your page.

I used this technique for a travel website, the conversion was great! I would create a blog post or sales page in my website first then link in the facebook page post. I delete the link in my Facebook post, when the user clicks on the preview photo, they will be led directly to your website.

I get sales from my Facebook page, get Likes without having to pay for them, gain website visitors and sales, as well. I kill 4 birds with that one boost!

This sounds interesting. Could you be more detailed on how you carried out the steps? I didn't seem to understand what you did.

Facebook Fan Pages is troublesome. I spent hundreds of dollars with facebook to build up my fan pages with what I thought were real likes from real people only to find out facebook was using fake "like farms". This incensed me and I complained to facebook but what do they care. THEY STOLE MY MONEY and there was nothing I could do about it. To make matters worse they banned by website link stating it was against their community standards and blocked me from changing the link. BE CAREFUL WITH FASCISTBOOK.

I get lots of page likes on my fan pages but likes do not convert to sales. It was abig waste of ad money

I also used a Facebook page to promote my website but did not get a lot of visitors to my site.
I don't think facebook shows your post to very many of people that like your page. Unless they have left some type of message or liked one of your post facebook doesn't show them the post. I have over 2000 people to like my page but very few checked out the website.
So I would say this might work for some but it didn't work for me

No, it's not a good option. You can advertise on Facebook in a different way and Facebook is one of the best places to find qualified conversions. Most people think that advertising on Facebook works like any other type of ad: you have a product or service, you place an ad and you make sales.

  • I think it will work only on the local community level around your fb fan page

I'm having mixed results to a free trial, I get likes and clicks to a video I am promoting.
Strange thing is not one person signed up for the free trial, not sure if I'm really getting actual visitors to my free trial.

Anyone know how to tell if I'm getting bot visits to my links from Facebook

      Two ways:

cPanel AWStats generates server log files and uses IP address and user agent to identify if the visitor is a human or robot.

Google Analytics Helps You Filter Spider and Bot Traffic.
