How to Start Affiliate Marketing on YouTube While Building Audience

Ok, so there is countless websites and videos online about how easy it is to do affiliate marketing and make tons of money. Having been an entrepreneur most my life and being well-versed in marketing and sales, it definitely seems easy enough. However, here is my current dilemma...

I just started a YouTube channel recently. I have about 30 videos currently. Already have my topics picked that I will be focusing on in my videos, have a handful of subscribers already, and some of my videos already have 100+ views even though I haven't made hardly any effort to promote it on forums or other venues.

With that said, once you have an audience, sure, affiliate marketing is easy and a no-brainer. However, I reached out to a handful of companies for information on their affiliate marketing programs. Apparently (at least with all those I have contacted so far), unless you already have a lot of subscribers on your channel, the companies won't waste their time contacting you.

So, is there any types of companies out there, like particular industries or even particular companies you are aware of, who will offer you links for marketing right off the bat without you having to already have hundreds of subscribers, or is affiliate marketing something to make easy money off of ONCE you already have a well-established channel? Not a single video I have watched or a single website I have gone to has yet to cover the problem of GETTING to the point where companies will want to work with you as far as affiliate marketing.

One other question about that, if all the companies want to see you have subscribers and regular viewers for your videos, what is the typical minimum most companies want to see before they will actually work with you?

    Welcome to the forum Physx0

YouTube is tightening the rules around its partner program and raising the requirements that a channel/creator must meet in order to monetize videos.

To qualify, your channel needs to have at least 10,000-lifetime views. You must also be 18 years or older to use the payment system set up by

YouTube to earn revenue. If you are under 18 years old, you can get a family account through the payment system by asking a parent or friend 18 and older to apply for you

Watch Time = Views x Average View Duration

Average View Duration is essentially how long on average people are watching your videos. I believe that Average View Duration is the most important metric of all, as it speaks directly to what those powers that be at YouTube state that they want

I think you don't really need all those companies need to contact because affiliate marketing is a really self-motivated business model. You can fire your own boss and start from anywhere and for that sake you don't need any permission from a third party that the beauty about this model over the past few decades millions of people just quite their jobs and started profiting through affiliate marketing building their own multiple streams.

So how can you profit thorough your YouTube channel without even getting worried about how many number of subscribers you have?

You can make a demo of the product you're just introducing to your subscribers after that If you have a bit knowledge about the piece of product you are promoting you can put good reviews about it there are lots of digital products available on the internet that don't ask you to have the number of subscribers before promoting them just go to JvZoo and you will find millions of them.

    Wish you all the best

The idea is simply that the more following you have the more likely that an ad on the channel will be seen. So the most vital thing is to build a strong following. You can do this by having regular uploads. The posts should be tailored to some common issues. Posting one quality video per week is enough.

My recommendation is, focus on building your subscriber base as a start. Frequently post new videos that have your subscribers keep coming back. Getting affiliate or partner program is easy when you have solid audience.

I agree, work to build a following and you will be set to go. Also, you need to do some research there are plenty of websites that offer marketers products to be promoted. I am sure it will get you moving.

If you want to monetize your videos, last I looked, you needed 4000 hours viewing and 1000 subscribers.

You can add links to your sites. Which means you have to create them and get affiliate networks accept your site. Some are less strict than others.

You can contact a company directly and propose they pay you to send them traffic.

Imo start with building your content and audience, don't worry about making money at first. Grow your audience then eventually focus on making the money.

OP, if I were you, I'd focus on making sure my existing audience is HAPPY first.

Let them educate you about the kind of videos to make

Turn them into channel promoters by making them feel they have skin in the game

Once you have a loyal community, start thinking about monetization
