Help with Local Vape Shop

Hey guys!

I am marketing one vape store in Norway and trying to get hem clients. The brand is new and nobody knows about it yet. They have physical shops and online one. Physical shops are going slow as well as the shop online. We started to get some orders now but it's still slow.

I made few backlinks, trying to get guest posting possibility for some vape related blogs (not that local market I am targeting tho).

I am not Norwegian myself, so it's hard to dig information about relevant forums or blogs in the language but it seems that they do not have close to anything about vaping in their own language.

Forums, backlinks, social media, few influencers.

Maybe someone has something else to offer? Our budgets are low, but we are considering ad network as an option for brand awareness campaign. I am writing some blog posts and have few really good ones.

Feel free to ask anything!

Hi dear kindly increase some budget. And you should run PPC campaigns to get traffic immediately.

Unless there has been some sot of radical change that I do not know about, you cannot advertise anything related to vaping on any of the major PPC channels. They stopped allowing ads for vaping products ten years ago.

As far as I know some ad networks allow alcohol/tobacco related ads but I cannot find trustworthy and with smart fees. :/

It's impossible to run PPC campaigns to get traffic. I want to avoid blackhat stuff as much as possible.

Have you tried creating Youtube videos and ranking those?

Link from those videos to your client's site

Get established as an 'authority' and this can attract links from Norwegian blogs

You might want to just go old school a little. You know those free newspapers given out in every city that is like one article surrounded by ads? I always see smoke shop and related ads in those newspapers.

Hey! That's great idea actually. Will try look into those! Maybe you are local in Norway and you could actually just throw me such newspapers?

EDIT: Is it a thing tho? Even if the ads of tobacco is prohibited?

Have them go to the local malls and setup a popup shop where they demo and sell the Vapes.

Make sure to tell the customers where the Vape shop is and offer each customer a 20% off your next purchase coupon at the original store.

Run an ad in the local paper.

If You are blocked online then go old school. It still works. As a marketer you shouldn't always be stuck on online only.

    Cheers

I think you don't need to give up. Marketing is difficult and can be frustrating. It takes time before you can see the fruits. Also as suggested, it may be necessary to increase your PPC budget. I am sure it will work for you

    Hi.
I think you need to market this locally.
    Say like,
    - Print out some creative phamplets and get them delivered at door-steps.
    - You can connect with local businesses like Cafes or Restaurants and push some good deals [GET 50% OFF IF YOU SHOP/BILL EXCEEDS a certain amount]
    - SMS marketing can be a good option for local crowd.
    - You can also use INSTAGRAM DMs, search for hashtags in your local area and connect with people who are currently in your nearby and throw them some cool offers. It really worked out for my Cafe here in New Delhi, India.

    Regards

Are you trying to target local customers? Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram are both a great option for reaching a larger audience. Facebook, for example, has a "market place" to post in what you are selling. This increases awareness and gets the shop recognized. Influencer marketing too is something you can consider. Try looking for local influencers and work with them.

It makes sense to know your target market language if you want to produce quality work.

Well, I would look for places local to them that would share the same demographic and do cross promotion.
Concert venues, coffee shops, maybe hipster type bars, craft beer joints and vapes seem to go hand in hand.
    Could do a giveaway.

Im guessing you already have them set up with a facebook, twitter, snapchat. Those are prime platforms for giveaways. Something like 'share this post for entry' kind of thing

If you want to go real guerilla marketing, get like 2000 business cards printed up..each one worth 10% of total purchase. let people pass them out for you, make them sign the back of their cards, whoever gets most cards turned back in, gets a free vape kit.

T-shirts are hands down the best marketing tool imo. You can get them printed cheap and a good looking shirt will be worn until its nothing but a collar and part of a sleeve. Black shirt, all white lettering. Keep it simple. On the front just one word VAPE Then the name of the shop and address/website address on the back
