1 Marketing Targeting Mistake I Experience Every Single Day

At least 1, 5, 10 or more people reach out to me daily from a niche different than my blogging tips niche.

I admire their pluck but this lack of clarity underscores a common targeting mistake in the internet marketing niche. Think it through guys; if I publish posts about blogging tips, 99% of the time, I would only promote a blogging tips eBook, course or service from you, if it matches my blog and brand.

I often get pitched stuff by people from:

- the personal development niche
- the affiliate marketing niche
- the candle niche (I am not kidding)
- the dating niche
- the adult niche (toys last week....lovely)

My readers love blogging tips and have no specific interest in self help, affiliate marketing, candles, dating or p*rn.

Reach out to bloggers 100% aligned with your niche to target effectively, to save time and energy, and to succeed online. Stick to your niche. Even if it takes longer and more energy to find bloggers from your niche, and to build bonds with these folks, it emits an abundant vibe and helps you make more money down the road.

I got a request today that skipped everything.
It said: I want a backlink from you.

    That was all.

The subject line was: Backlink exchange.

I wondered why they bothered to send anything.

Absolutely. Sticking to your niche may not make you money in the short term but it is certainly one of the things you should do if you dream of making money in future. It takes time to build something good.

Actually, I can see a connection between SELF-HELP and blogging

To get good results at blogging, you need grit and constant motivation

Given the fact that "blog and ping' no longer works, the name of the game is consistent quality content creation

You need motivation for that grind
