Hi,

In a total of like 7 years, i made like 100$ online. I check daily for methods on forums. The methods i try just doesn't feel like they work. If i do affilate marketing, i get no traffic etc.

I have depts and my life's really messy right now, so to make a few extra bucks a day would mean the world to me. I have like 70$ to invest. Can anybody help me..?

I know it can be hard to get any traction in online business.

But you had a similar thread about 2 years ago here. You haven't made any progress since then?

What exactly have you done? Almost everything works to some extent for some people. Why do you think nothing is working for you?

If nothing seems to be working, it may be time to find some other way to pay your way and then get back into this slowly as a hobby.

    Mark

Thanks a LOT for the replies. Ok, here's what I've done:

    The success i've had:
Spinnup: I'm producing music so I uploaded music to Spotify, It got streamed and i got paid.
    Prolific.co (survey site)

    The failures:
Affilate Marketing: I bought hosting and a domain, made a nice landing page and a snapchat account. The thought was to get people to add me on snapchat, and I'd have a constant my story so people swipe up and gets redirected to my LP. To get traffic, i joined groups on facebook regarding my niche and I was also using tinder. I got some snapchat views, but nothing on my lp.

    Shopify:
This is what I really thought would work, it seemed so easy. Till i realized that i need a bussiness to be able to proceed, and i'm in dept so can't do this right now.

    Instagram CPA:
Tried to get people to a link in my BIO through mystory posts, nothing.

    Fiverr:
This is what i really wanted to do, with my music production skills i made a offer where i could make intros/outros for youtubers etc. I had a professional looking offer with video and such. No sales.

    Youtube affilate methods

    Reselling cd keys

    Blogger.com + a ads + Hitleap.

And all of theese 20000 ebooks i've read about buying hosting, using ads and driving traffic, blogging and such.

    What I have to offer:
A 10.2k followers Instagram account (about girls).
    Music production skills
    I write extremly fast

This is SOME of the things i've tried...

Why did you not rinse and repeat this one?

And work on your processes to make it pay you more for the same effort?

A business is repeatable steps that lead to you getting paid an amount larger than you spent.

If you got paid 10 dollars once and you want to get paid 100 a day, run your process 10 times a day!

You got paid, dude. You know what to do to get paid. Now do it as long as it takes to make you the money you want. Or just quit. For real.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for over 18 years. However, I do things differently than most.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross-promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight sales. For them, mass appeal is still the number one thing I look for and I also look for one of the following...

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, I mainly promote non-PPL offers on the backend.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

You're asking for something... a follower, a sale, whatever.

You keep asking and asking, when you have to give, give, give, first.

One thing I do love about WF, they give guys like you nice, gentle, and "you can do it" man type of advice. You have been treated with calfskin gloves so far.

Thank God for you, I'm a surly old curmudgeon.

There is no RIGHT PATH. You are doomed to repeat the next 7 years as you have the last 7. You will fail, again and again and again. Why?

BECAUSE you are seeking the "right path". What does that even mean? How many paths and deadends have you been down already? TOO MANY is the right answer.

I think you should quit. Like your subject header said you're DONE. Why continue being disappointed? You lack what it takes.

            What does it take?

Three things. A foundation. Which you don't have.
A framework, also lacking in your IM life.

FOCUS. And as the link to the guy who says the only secret is to WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, then that may lead you to building on a solid foundation around a well thought out framework of activity.

Do you even know what you want? Man, you've avg. 15 dollars a year.

Now here is some IRONY. Recently, and often, one can find threads about getting music.

Which you claim is your forte. Eh?

Right here, right now, there are Warriors with money to spend on some original music, which you could probably produce with your eyes closed.

Why don't you start creating some ONE OF KIND, royalty free music all these would be marketers could use in their videos, audios and websites? Make it exclusive, get in one gig what you've gotten in 7 years.

Doesn't that seem obvious? Or are you a music producer along the same lines as you are an IMer?

The "surly old curmudgeon" GordonJ gave some solid and honest "tough love" advice that I hope ATTEK will take to heart. I 2nd the motion that he should make a royalty-free set of audio intros and outros if music is truly his talent. These are a b*tch to find on one's own and know with confidence that they really are royalty-free. In fact, he could easily create an information document to outline how sound files can be royalty-free and how ASCAP and BMI song licensing works. I honestly don't know that answer to that question and because I don't know, I've been reluctant to use any music in or before or after my videos. Plus, he could include in that document how to *choose* the right sound file for the right purpose and do a test study with some folks to show conversion rate improvements before and after adding a sound file and the *correct* sound file. Sounds like a big opportunity for him there. I'd be the first to buy it. Heck, I'd even offer to be one of the test puppies and provide testing results he could use in his marketing.

    Hi A,

I know this gig feels tough, sometimes. But you will get nowhere with $70 to invest, and *everywhere* by investing the next 2-4 years of your life:

    - doing something online you feel passionate about
    - learning from a mentor
    - generously creating and connecting
    - monetizing through multiple streams of income

Investing 70 bucks does nothing because you are filled with fear and guaranteed to fail buddy. Feel your fears, ride out this low, develop a 2-4 year vision and you will be well on your way.

Here is what to do to make it work

List all the money making methods that "has worked for other IMers",
    - list building
    -blogging
    -buying selling websites
    -buying selling domains
    - traffic broker/reselller
    - selling leads to local business
    - promoting a business opportunity
    - coaching newbies
All of this requires time and skills which you must pursue daily and consistently.
Remember, all of the methods are proven that others have succeeded. If you like one, break it down into nitty gritty and schedule a task to be done consistently daily. As more people flood into IM only specialized skilled individuals succeed. If you do random things here and there, it will get you nowhere. You had scattered focus and hence had nothing to show what you had achieved. we all make mistakes thats part of life but somewhere i heard , " the definition of insanity is doing same thing over and over and expecting different results".

          Again, amen.

Attek and others need to start by reading the Warrior's BEGINNER'S GUIDE to Internet Marketing, and take a quiz about it, before they post, or are allowed to post.

It actually took me about 4 years of hard work to get where I am today.

I tried everything, then one day I found a opportunity which only cost me $30 and I turned this into a $15,000 per month business.

The moral is, never give up. Something will come up.

Work on your strengths, maybe have a week off and just relax.

For e.g. the automation in car industry, the advent of AI ( artificial intelligence is going to knock off lotsa jobs) ; that goes for internet marketing too... You need to adapt with the change.

How much are you really looking to make . And why are you looking just online .

Learn what the trash pickup days are in the real nice neighborhoods around you . Buy a crappy pick up truck . Then shop around early mornings on trash days . And put as much nice stuff in you truck as possible

Once you figure out how much you really need to make there is probably some much easier way to make that offline starting from zero.

I'll be on that search hard in a few days once I get to Florida .

    Hello Attek

    Have you tried Niche marketing?

A simple effective money making tactic is:

    1. Choose a niche you enjoy
    2. Find problems in the niche by visiting forums and question and answer sites in that niche.
    3. Find PLR content (that solves the problem) like an ebook that you can edit and give away in exchange for leads
    4. Add affiliate links in the ebook, quality solutions to the problems.
    5. Give out the ebook for free on the web. Make sure the content is amazing and actually helps the reader solve his problem. And add your affiliate links as recommendations which further assist the reader with his problems.

This works well and people love free stuff that helps them.

      This is right and wrong.

#1 is what is wrong with this statement. You don't choose a niche you enjoy, you look around and choose a niche that is popular, and that you do through keyword research.

If you look around and find out that there is serious interest in big purple sex toys, like MILLIONS of searches but nobody providing info, then you need to get it in your head that you are about to be the big purple sex toy expert for however long you can get money out of this niche. What YOU like is irrelevant, you're interested in what everyone else likes.

      Here's an example:
Ever heard of Celiac disease? Coelic disease? They are the same thing, gluten intolerance. I didn't know about them, didn't care about them, never really heard about it. Turns out that its one of the most mis-daignosed diseases out there.

So now that you know the issue...what can YOU do about it that others would be interested in and would be worth someone compensating you in some way? Well what are people with a mis-diagnosed digestive ailment concerned with
      #1 Information
      #2 Treatment

I set up a basic WP site. Nothing flashy, just clean, easy to read. I came out here, found a copywriter. For $25 i had someone put together a nice clean report about celiac disease. I would say honestly it was probably like a college sophmore/junior level report. Very informative. i threw in a few graphics to spruce it up (percieved value) and put a mail list signup on the site. If users signed up with email they got a copy of this report.

That was the information..used to build my mailing list.

Then i rooted around on the internet and found a website of recipes with glute-free recipes. I worked out a deal with them to let me pull recipes from their website to be sent out in my monthly mailer in exchange for a link sending the readers back to that site for traffic. Then i singed up just on Clickbank and put affiliate ads for gluten free cookbooks around the edge of the email. and let it rip.

It was like having an ATM card. Every time you pushed 'send' a couple hundred would shake out and that number grew with the size of the mailing list

      Thats the treatment.....food, recipes.

Again, its not about what YOU want or like, you're trying to find what everyone else likes or wants but can't seem to get and you're the guy that facilitates them getting it in some way or another...for a small small fee

I think you should stop everything you're doing and buy a book called The Millionaire Faslane by MJ Demarco.

What you need is a complete paradigm shift. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Stop chasing money and start providing VALUE.

Umm the way I see it, you try one thing and then move to another. You can't gain any traction by doing this you know. Most times, you have to try one thing and focus on it with faith and patience to see it work out. Focus on one thing, become so good at it and find a way to offer your service in the market. Patience is required but you will get it. Cheers.

Albert Einstein was right when he said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

I suspect you must have been doing the same things again and again, and then expecting your results to change. Whether it is affiliate marketing, dropshipping, freelancing - everything works, but most importantly you must persevere with one thing that you do.

If you give each method of earning a few days or weeks and then decide that it doesn't work for you and move on, you will develop what is called a "shiny object syndrome" which in many ways is the precursor to doom.

The problem is you need to see a glimmer of hope in order to persevere, else you are just whipping a dead horse for months.......now that's insanity too.

Hmmm. I have the same situation as you before I success with my e-commerce business.

I think one of the reason you failed should be keep changing method before you success. Which happen to many people, even I was a victim.

I reached my success in e-commerce when I saw this phrase from somewhere and apply it. Don't ever think about give up until you got your first sales no matter what you sell.

    Back to your question

    What I have to offer:
A 10.2k followers Instagram account (about girls).
    Music production skills
    I write extremly fast

10.2k is a good number, you can sell the channel or keep pm related niche to sell shout out service.

Music production - this may takes time, maybe 1 or 2 years to see real result. List down where you can upload your music, then upload daily.

Recently I started a new gaming channel around end of July, I upload daily until now at YouTube I have already 1.3k subscribers daily 200+ organic views. One thing to note, subscribers and views will be very little, but it will increase expotentially as you have more subscribers and videos.

Do research on your competitors success videos and learn from them.

About writing extream fast I think you take advice from other.

    Hope these advice help you.

    Cheers!

Sometimes it's OK to quit something if it's just not working for you. I personally have had the most success building websites for local businesses and building & selling niche sites to people on Flippa. My experience doing both of these things gave me the skills in SEO and now I work a day job as an SEO. If I dropped any desire to make money online, I'd be OK because of the skills that I've acquired. Maybe try divorcing yourself from the romantic idea of making money online and instead focus on acquiring skills that people will pay you for? Just a thought.

    That's your problem right there.

You can't succeed with this. It's a gambler's mindset and you will always lose like that.

Save a few hundred of dollars then invest in a real course that really teaches you how to succeed.

Not only that but know this:

It takes money to make money. With affiliate marketing, you will need to invest and test ads to see what works and what doesn't for you.

It's all about WHAT DO YOU WANT EXACTLY IN LIFE?

From there, the next question would be

Which kind of business can give you that?

Then what skills do i need to master in order to make that business works

Do i like to do that?

If the business that you are in only be able to give you the money in the future, don't do it.

    Find something else.

If the business that you are in now is what you like to do, then think about it carefully before you quit.

It looks like you've fallen into the trap of trying everything and sticking to nothing - which is so easy to do with all the "fantastic" IM ideas floating about.

My recommendation is to find ONE THING that you seriously believe can make money and stick at it till you make it work.

    DO NOT GET DISTRACTED

I followed this advice a few years ago and today I have a successful freelancing business that brings me in $1,000s every month.

Was it easy, no. Did it require work? Yes

Was it worth it - hell yes!

Never give in. Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty--never givein, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

This may appear to be one of those facile, obvious on the face of it quotes but it's words to live by.

Clear your head. Find any service you can exchange for cash, no matter how little. Build form there, reinvest.

    And, never give up

Before dreaming on making money online, we should first accept the fact that the internet has long been over-saturated of almost anything. You'll always find strong competitions in almost any niche that you can think of. If you do discover a unique item, it even takes time to break the status quo of people. Yeah life is hard but nothing will ever happen if you stop and accept defeat. Just carry on and keep doing something different and dispose immediately what won't work. You can't just work on the same thing in 2019 if it didn't work in 2018. Try something different, no matter how many times we fail because we only need to succeed ONCE!
