Just got a mailing from Kiva about them being included as finalists in The American Experss Members Project online competition...

Excerpt below:

Exciting news! Kiva's entry "Loans that change lives" has just been voted one of the Top 25 in the American Express Members Project online competition. Only the Top 5 projects by popular vote will move on to the final round to compete for a $1.5 million First Prize. We need your help between now and September 29th to get as many votes as possible!

    Can't vote because I'm not an American Express card holder. Signed up as a guest member which allows me to promote the project, but when I clicked on that there was a glitch - it said the project was not yet approved.

    I had to reload the page a couple of times before getting to the promotional page.

    It gives you lots of options: email your list, post to your blog or Facebook, social bookmark it, put it on Myspace, etc

    I did a quick post on Facebook. The whole process of becoming a guest and doing a Facebook post took 5 minutes so please use a few minutes of your time to help promote this.

      I couldn't vote either - no AE, but I really hope they get the prize.
