Hi to all,
yesterday new feature came to Twitter - Twitter List.
"...New! Lists. A great way to organize the people you follow and discover new and interesting accounts. (BETA)
Lists are timelines you build yourself, consisting of friends, family, co-workers, you name it."

My opinion, that is good idea, cause you can create separate list in your twitter account for VIP customers or your friends.

And what do you think?

Lists are a new way to categorize and classify those people you follow. For instance I created a few lists today while experimenting. I created @jamesburchill/likes @jamesburchill/dislikes @jamesburchill/internetmarketers and my personal favourite ... and I haven't as yet added anything to it @jamesburchill/wtf :-)

A thought... if you have enough influence, you could almost CHARGE PEOPLE A FEE for being listed in your "special" Twitter list... @jamesburchill/vip - LOL

Twitter can be annoying I find, especially how more and more peoples tweets are just constantly try and sell something. Need to chillax on the selling. People seem to forget that you should still try and provide some kind of useful content on twitter if you wanna increase your following.

Maybe the list feature could help to weed out spammers? I will have to look into. Cheers for notifying me of this feature as I haven't checked Twitter in a while.

Its a good new feature and glad they came out with it. Makes it a bit easier before I used tweetdeck to organize everyone but this is going to make going to their main site more effective. For the life of me when I would just visit their site its a honest pain to try and find people and information you want. Much welcomed new feature

Didn't twitter just receive another large infusion of investor cash?

Interesting business discussion the other day on TV focused on venture capital invested in Twitter and how and when Twitter would finally become an in-profit enterprise.

The venture capitalist indicated he thought it would be another 5-7 years before Twitter might be in profit and seemed to predict that the "profit" would be generated by use of "market data gathered" on the habits and interests of Twitter users.

He predicted that Twitter would be able to identify the interests and needs of individuals through their history - and companies could target promotions to them based who they follow, who follows them, sites they visit, etc.

It was interesting, and a bit disturbing.

I agree with above that Twitter became very boring place where everybody try to sell, sell and again sell you. that's why i hope that new feature will help to organize real value followers from spammers.
And yes, I also had an idea about that you can create VIP section and charge customers to be there. Or.... even better!!! Give that as a BONUS!!!! :-)

Out of interest, do the people you are following get to know which list they belong to? Or is that private. I'm hoping it's private.
