eBay Partner Network account was canceled for low quality traffic

My eBay Partner Network account was recently canceled for having low quality traffic. This is part of the message I got:

"After a thorough review of your account, our team has determined that your account has been generating low quality traffic as gauged by our internal measures. We wanted to bring to your attention that our team has decided to terminate your account on November 1, 2009. We ask that you please remove your affiliate links and update your payment information within 3 days. You will not be compensated for any traffic associated with your account after that date. If your payment and tax information have been entered and your account has generated more than five units of your payment currency, your pending earnings will be paid by the next payment cycle . You are not permitted to rejoin the eBay Partner Network."

Is there anyway I can get a brand new ebay partner network account?

    Lie.

But don't use it on any site where it used to be.
And it will just be cancelled again, if you send them the same type of traffic.

I've been thinking about joining the ebay partner network since they made the change to a ppc type setup last month but haven't implemented it yet.

What type of traffic were you sending them? A few years ago I had my Adsense account cancelled because I had a page that was on traffic exchanges.

And - were you doing well monetarily with their new setup?

Kirk's right though, if you go through the trouble of setting it up on a new domain and send the same type of traffic, they'll probably do the same thing.

I am not sure what I did wrong. I did not join a free traffic exchange network or stuff cookies. But I did submit my RSS feed with ebay auctions in it to RSS aggregators using RSSBot.

I was thinking about buying a fake EPN account that people sell on warriorforum.com or some of the black hat internet marketing sites. Is this a good idea? Do I have to give the ebay partner network a real social security number?

Can I use the fake EPN account with the websites that got my original EPN account banned?

  • Were you making any money from your low quality traffic? If you were then it doesn't make sense that is was low quality. If you were not then why would you want another account?

You should filter out IP's from countries that send bots and junk traffic to your sites so you don't get low quality traffic.

I (EPN in my wife's name) got banned for low traffic. Also informed the account could never be reactivated.

I am not sure if I can join in my name or not, but if I decide to join again I will try that.

Another option is to create a LLC and join as a corpration. I am guessing you could be banned many times under different corporation names since each is a legal entity unto itself -- but what do I know?

Actually, I am not sure I want an EPN account. Although it is lucrative for some, ebay is a fickle mistress and can dash your business to pieces in a moment.

The best traffic to send ebay, is people already looking for something specific. I know thats always the best traffic, but its pretty easy to get for ebay because they have EVERYTHING.

Go to sites like Craigslist/Backpage, look in the wanted section, there's always people looking for phones or laptops, and there's your traffic already looking for something specific.
