I sent a broadcast message about a new book (I am one of the authors) and here's an unsub I got back:

Comments:
the new phrase for people pushing a product not their own to their email list is Pimp-Spam. I am un-subbing because you are a pimp spammer


So, now I'm a pimp. My mama will be so proud!

I suppose if s/he had actually READ the entire e-mail (a really short one actually) that s/he would still unsub and I'm well rid of people like this anyway.

      I feel ya, I get some of the worst emails occasionally.

      It seems like the more I try to push it to get a response, I'll get 10 glowing replies and one nasty gram.

      What does that tell you? You are going to get nasty grams, but 10 times more people will love you and your emails.

      What can ya do?

      Although I NEVER get this in niche markets. Only IM, or close to IM related lists.

    Wow.. I always wanted to be a PIMP. When I was 2, all these other kids said they wanna be a Pilot, Doctor, etc. I said I wanna be a PIMP!

    They were so proud of me.

    Now, finally, after 16 years of hopelessness I get to live my dream! I'm gonna start doing this right away..

    Kinda funny the way some people respond to email. I just write it off as human nature and fickleness. The same person will probably be upset when or if they find out they missed something of yours that seemed cool to them.
