Affiliate Programs - Saas companies

Hello fellow entrepreneurs! I'm wondering if any startups have experience hosting their own affiliate programs, and if so, was it profitable for you? We are researching to see if this is a direction we may want to go, any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Affiliates dont really like self hosted affiliate programs by vendors plenty of reasons ( I got ripped off by many vendors who vanished wothoput paying comissions) delayed paymenst etc Its a pain in the ass for affiliates so you will ahve a really tough time asking affiliates to join you ...

ClickFunnels has experienced a lot of success due to running a successful affiliate program (they also create great products/offers).

The company has experienced tremendous growth the last few years plus they didn't receive any venture funding.

  • Hi,
Hosting and running your own affiliate program is the best option as you have full control.

Affiliate Networks will only allocate a number of hours support per week and can be quite costly. The main job is affiliate recruitment if the affiliate network has the right type and number of affiliates for your business, then it will save you a lot of time and depending on the relationship that the network has with the affiliates it may really work for you.

But nothing beats running your own program and getting to know and work closely with your affiliates.

    Good Luck
