Wordpress : Track Sales From Subdomain Links

I have a website/blog on wordpress. (e.g. xyz.com)
I have an ebooks shop on a subdomain (e.g shop.xyz.com)
I promote my ebooks through content on blog.
What would be the best tool/way to track/conversions accurately between subdomains?
I have tried google analytics but the setup is a bit confusing and not accurate.
Any kind of suggestion would be helpful.
