Hi Guys

I have few websites on wordpress. Amazing platform. Easy to use and very good for seo.

When i write articles and i try to post it, i get a list of internal recommended links for my page. So the platform asks me to link my own pages between it. Up to that point i have a green light on yoast seo. But the minute i add their recommended link, the green light becomes orange.

I just wonder if that happens to other people as well? Up to the point of linking, i am great, when i add their recommended link, i am not that good

Thank you

In the long run, if you just build your site so that it is easy to navigate for actual PEOPLE (instead of bots), your SEO will stand the test of time.

I wouldn't worry about what the Yoast plugin is telling you to do. Just my opinion!

I agree. I'm personally seeing about a 40% increase in organic Google traffic every month (sometimes more) on my blog by doing nothing more than writing new blog posts. I do have a static site blog so it loads fast. That's about the only SEO I've done.

You can drive yourself nuts with the technical aspects of SEO and waste a lot of time IMO. At the end of the day, if you just help Google do its job by supplying quality content on a regular basis, the rest just falls into place.

Have you tried using an internal linked page that wasn't recommended by the plugin to see if the light also changes? Also have you tried editing the link format that you're using? It might be that the plugin isn't liking the format (https or something else in it)

You can just read the datails provided in the Yoast for more details.

Respectfully, based on my experience I disagree, best practice is to:
It is best to create the navigation for people and format the navigation for the search engine's bots.

In this case the Original Poster is using Yoast to create the content and format for the search engine's bots.

I am definitely not endorsing Yoast, but in this case it is pointing him in the right direction.

    adsorbable, Good suggestion!

carpetcleaningdublin, Be advised there was a Google Core Update at the beginning of September that affects International SEO (websites outside of the U.S.) and since your business website is outside the U.S. you need to know more about it. Essentially, Google said there will be fluctuations in the SERPs pertaining to International SERPs. They stated that it would take 2 to 3 days to settle down. Much of the SEO community is saying it is taking longer than 2 to 3 days.

From a different thread, days ago, I looked at your website which is very professional by the way. Nice work!

I would recommend that you look at the warrior forum link in my signature for the information that is affecting your SEO with focus on Mixed Content Penalty (Block) | Meta Description.
