I Need Decent Traffic Sources

I've been in and out of Internet Marketing for a number of years now. I've been scammed by some of the best crooks in the business. Now that I'm back in it again, I STILL get emails from Vendors telling me to "Hijack Other Peoples Videos and Get THEIR Traffic to Your Offer"... This week, my emails include: "Get Traffic in 60 Seconds!!!" Their offer is for me to pic a photograph, and add some words of wisdom to it, and doing that will supposedly bring me tons of traffic in 60 seconds! We all know what RUBBISH these ideas are!
I would like to get away from Affiliate Marketing and market things that everyday hard working 9 to 5 people NEED. What kinds of Paid Traffic sources work the best? Is there a website that ranks these sites for their honesty? I need a way to find a site that will rank the best-Paid Traffic sources. I've done tons of posting and some paid ads on social media without much success. I've also used Bing and Google, but the traffic, for the Affiliate offers just doesn't convert. So I want to branch out, and get away from the Saturated Affiliate Offer programs. Multilevel / Network Marketing scammers screwed me ages ago, so please don't bother recommending one of those to me. I just want to market offers that are not in a Saturated area of online marketing maby Ill have better luck there. I also need to replace my mailing list. My old one was lost. So I'd appreciate any Mailing List building ideas also. Thanks for reading all of this and for any reply.

Adwords, Bing and Facebook are about the only ones you can be sure won't be bots. "Paid traffic" is a minefield of bots and scammers.

I suggest you try the big platforms with built-in traffic like Ebay, Amazon, and Etsy.

The best paid traffic is Google Adwords, Instagram Ads, YouTube Ads, Quora Ads, Reddit Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Yelp Ads. Email marketing is dying out as emails are becoming obsolete. I recommend getting into Text Message Marketing.

Man, the best traffic sources is of course google, adwords. I think the problem is not about the traffic sources, but about your marketing. Maybe your affiliate offers are bad, maybe your landing page are bad. Try different offers, test more products, test different landing pages and so. If you test tens of different apsects like i mentioned before, when you can think about different traffic source. People are making killings with free traffic or with paid but low quality, but they have killer sales funnel in place.

    Good Luck

Thank you. I've only heard about how Free traffic is picking up speed. I've done tons of "Free Classified Ad Sites" and Safelists too. I just don't know WHICH "Free" traffic methods work best. I've done Free ad posts on social media sites, and spent alot of late nites after coming home from an 8 hour job, and worked a few hours into the late hours on Free Traffic sites in the past. Which "Free" traffic works best? Thanks again for your previous answer, and for any new reply.

Thanks for your reply. I wish I could find those good Free traffic sources. Where do you go to find the different landing pages? I know one or two sites, but their stuff is limited. And other sites that advertise good landing pages require a monthly membership fee to use their Landing Pages. Do you use separate domains to test different landing pages? Thanks again.

  • From reading your post, it seems that you
have been scammed by some junk offer that
promised overnight traffic but didn't deliver.

This usually happens when we don't a clear
direction of what market we want to get into.

Have you chosen what you want to do to start
the business? Reading through your post, the
only clue that I see of what direction you
    aim to take is this:

"I would like to get away from Affiliate Marketing
and market things that everyday hard working 9 to 5
    people NEED."

Being an affiliate and selling things to
hard working 9 to 5 people don't conflict
each other though, a lot of affiliate products
are aimed at normal, everyday people..

Would you like to clarify on what market you
would like to enter?? Is this market right for
you? And why is it right for you??

Answering these questions may not shoot you to
success right away but they would be a good
starter. Without choosing a clear direction
on what market and products you want to promote,
no amount of Mailing List building techniques
would be of much use to you, your direction
and big goal comes before any marketing and
    traffic generation techniques

Thanks for your reply. I've mainly done the Affiliate Marketing thing for ages now. Since that area is so saturated, I want to find affiliate offers for everyday products that everyday people need. Some people need Diapers for their kids, other regular rich people might like some fancy new Wine Cabinet, etc. Some CPA offers have offers for Baby products, and others are for Scholarship offers, etc. My problem is, I need material on how to find affiliate offers that are not for the Internet Marketing niche. Its just too saturated. There's a ton of Ebooks on Affiliate Marketing, but those are only geared toward Affiliate Marketers, building mailing lists, etc. I'd like to promote higher end offers I guess. Finding the info on that kind of marketing is hard. Thanks again.

If you are looking for affiliate programs for everyday needs. Then you start of with Amazon associates. You sign up as an affiliate an and begin to market great products that people use everyday and earn commissions.

Another plus is that whatever your referral buys after going through your link to your offers, you will get a commission.

For FREE traffic sources, it depends on what you finally decide to sell. Instagram, Facebook, pinterest and quora will be fine

Adwords has a lot of competition. But it can bring home the bacon and then some more.

Don't try to sell them, educate them. Affiliates now have to grease some elbow and offer
unique content that speaks in the heart of your prospects and addressing a specific need.

    Keep testing.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for 19 years. However, I do things quite differently than most.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross-promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight sales. For them, mass appeal is still the number one thing I look for and I also look for one of the following...

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, I mainly promote non-PPL offers on the backend.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

I drive traffic and build responsive email lists by acquiring different forms of email data. Essentially what I'm really doing is monetizing the data using PPL offers.

Fresh / targeted 3rd party data, which is email leads of users that have shown an interest in a specific PPL niche or offer and have given permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record of each user and it's 100% can-spam compliant.

Generate real-time Co-reg, which works by placing an ad for a specific PPL offer on a co-registration network and their publishers display it and users that view the ad can request more info about the offer. When a user requests more info, their contact info is automatically imported into your ESP (autoresponder) account / campaign and they are immediately sent details regarding the offer, along with future follow-up messages. You pay on a per lead basis.

There is also rev-share data, which is basically 3rd party data (typically fresh / targeted) that you get for $0 upfront costs and you split the revenue generated from sending it with the data provider. Those that provide rev-share are typically just aggregating the data and aren't marketers and provide it to those that know how to monetize it.

So with the above, I am getting fresh / targeted leads specifically for the PPL offers I'm promoting. However, they are not typically as responsive as a high-quality opt-in list that you build yourself. So to compensate for this you need to work with higher volume. This is not a big deal since the cost is much cheaper and highly scalable compared to traditional list building methods.

When mailing, you want to skim off the top any fast-track conversions and then for long-term success, you want to always be collecting your opens / clickers, segmenting and removing unresponsive users...converting the leads from quantity to quality and into responsive lists. Which you can then also cross-promote other offers on the back-end.

So basically the real reason I promote PPL offers because they provide the path of least resistance to generating conversions / $$$ and converting the data into cash-producing assets.

There's actually more to it than it sounds, but done right it can be extremely profitable. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, for the most part, does 6-7 figures. While that's a huge range, much comes down to one's ability to scale and effectively build / manage the infrastructure needed to scale.

One other thing. Once you have experience promoting PPL/CPA offers via email, you can also find companies that have opt-in and/or buyer lists that do little with them or nothing at all via email marketing and help them fully monetize their data.

These are mainly companies that call all the users and or don't know anything about promoting affiliate / CPA offers. This requires more work because you have to find the companies, wherewith the other options above it's easy to get access to data. This is what would be considered 2nd party data, as you manage the companies data and monetize it for a percentage of the net profits generated.

    Something to think about.

Then You can use blue ocean marketing to bring traffic to your offer.

You need to use your facebook profile as profile funnel.

Then identify your dream audience according to your product.

Then don't start to sell, provide value regularly.

This seems to be the biggest challenge for a lot of online marketers.

    In my experience.

PEOPLE ONLY BUY FROM PEOPLE THEY KNOW LIKE AND TRUST.

    Do you agree?

With this understanding in mind, the best traffic you can possibly get is FREE ORGANIC FACEBOOK TRAFFIC.

Let me explain in more detail.

When promoting your offer as an affiliate your success heavily depends on how much you can help serve your customers and how much they trust you.

So sending Solo traffic, or Facebook ads to your links just won't work, or definitely not in the long run, and that's just not how you build a sustainable business, but all depends on what you selling.

Let me explain how it works...

In facebook you have the opportunity to connect and meet people from all over the world, it's like looking into a crystal ball and being able to peer into the lives of billions of people.

Therefore you can select your perfect customer, your perfect customer consists of 2 things.

1- Someone who is aware of your product

2- Someone that can afford your product

This is easy to find on Facebook, because there is just about a group for any niche will millions of people you can hone in with and connect.

If you want high-quality traffic it's all in facebook groups, you can select people to talk to and look for people who need help.

People who need you offer, and whos problems it solves.

    THIS IS THE SECRET SAUCE.

When you start to spend time in these groups offering value and helping others to succeed, this is where your traffic momentum will pick up.

Now there is more to it than that, regarding optimizing your profile page but we will focus only on traffic in this.

In order to generate a lot of traffic on Facebook for free, you must build relationships.

Connect with people, get to know them and help to serve them in whatever way you can to succeed.

People only buy from people they know like and trust and this is easy to accomplish Facebook because you can talk to people and get to know them.

Nothing builds trust faster than when you share VALUE WITH OTHERS.

So to sum it up, here is a daily action plan to get streams if traffic rushing.

Add value in groups where your dream customer is Comment and help as many people as you can, first You must serve before you get paid.

Optimize your profile page so you look like a pro and are clear with what you are offering EG: I help affiliate marketers succeed online with x.

Create a group where you share more value, and give away courses, free books, anything that can help them on thier specific journey.

Step into your servant leadership position.

    Create an irresistible offer.

Make a friend and build genuine connections.

Start minimum or 20 conversations a day to connect and build relationships.

Keep learning more ever yday so you have more wealth of information to share.

Be consistent and take daily action.

Do this every day and you will see how many people will start being attracted to you and wanting the help you have to offer.

So many people are looking for guidance so if you can position yourself as genuine and a leader, this is what will build a long term and sustainable business.

Traffic is easy when you master these steps.

I suggest using free traffic rather than using paid traffic since free traffic is created mostly by using social media or search engines. It creates organic traffic by optimizing your blog, video, or website for search engines. That way, your content can have a good standing on the results pages of the search engine, and traffic is directed to your site from the search engine.

Free traffic can also be created via social media by linking your page to social media platforms and building great profiles. Through these profiles, people who visit and connect with you can then visit your website for more details or make actual purchases. Free traffic, among other strategies, can also be created through the article and video marketing.

Trending products in the affiliate marketing/mmo niche convert well with paid traffic. Solo ads from reputable sellers can be good traffic and it is cheaper than facebook ads etc.

The best way to get free traffic that converts is to rank on the search engines for tons of keywords that get traffic.

You can also be active on quora to drive interested visitors to where you have your offers.

It is a lot easier to get free traffic and sales in less competitive niches.

Just look around your house for some gadgets that you own, that cost money and that internet marketers haven't thought of and center your content around that.

When you pay for traffic, the product can be trending and popular.
For free traffic, it goes faster and it is easier to make money if the product isn't very well known

The best fast traffic source is Paid Traffic, there are so many. PPC - Bing, Google, and so many other ppc sites that you can get traffic and traffic conversions to lower the traffic price. We also have Facebook, Instagram, youtube, influencer traffic, solo ads, native ads. you Name it all this work I can personally tell you this. It all depends on your pocket budget.

and if you dont have the money resource then you need the time resource. if you can dedicate atleast 30 minutes per day on free traffic consistently then definitely you will earn commissions from free traffic. the problem is people try free traffic and stop as soon as 1 day to to two days.

Choice is yours. The "60 SECONDS" thing is not rubish, is what many want to hear, its called copy writing, it drives you the person with Shiny Object Syndrome to buy this kind of programs. so it works for marketers who have studied marketing physiology.

A few quick comments on things already mentioned . . . "Safelists" are extremely low quality traffic, so might only be usable for something extremely generic and cheap. Most traffic from Fiverr is useless, too.

FaceBook ads can work great (I know people getting 8X ROI with FB ads and webinars), but these days its very competitive and a challenge to make a profit in many areas. Some people are doing great using less common strategies . . . for example, I heard of someone who spends less than half the cost per sale, by advertising articles rather than products. And there are a lot of advanced strategies that some experts are using on FB ads, and getting great results.

I've watched several webinars which recommend YouTube ads because they are easier and less competitive than FB ads. It is said to be possible to make a profit even using still slides, or simple animations, without having to speak on camera oneself or have expensive equipment.

Pinterest ads can work well for IM type stuff (I've seen some people saying that they are making big ROI's with them). One advantage is that they are fully "transparent", i.e. they don't look like ads to the visitor, who never knows whether a Pin they click is paid or free.

As with most things, with any specific type of ads, the majority of people are losing money, and a few people have learned more and tested more, and get consistent profits.

For me I prefer Guest posting and forum posting. And would love to expand my outreach with people in these two platforms.

If you are are able to write great content ,then medium is a stable platform where you post your articles with publication.

Free traffi is Great and it takes time. Paid traffic is instant when you pay. The best strategy us to create a landing page and capture that traffic.

I'm not a fan of solo ads. They've never really worked for me. Personally, I'd avoid them.. Outside the typical popular ways of generating traffic through youtube, facebook, twitter, or ppc.

I actually find Quora very underrated and like it a lot. But you got to be very careful how you use it. You can't just start blasting links in your answers (they moderate that stuff very closely), and they don't like affiliate links at all. It will get you banned fast.

What I do is post my url in the credentials section. So it will pop up automatically every time I answer a question.... Just briefly explain what you specialize in (without becoming promotional) then type your url of your site.

You can get tons of traffic just doing this if you become active on the site. Probably one of favorite ways to generate free traffic. It's a very underrated source of traffic.

But you got to know what you're talking about in your niche, and be very informative, otherwise it won't work. If your answers aren't popular it won't do you any good.

The rummer is that any traffic flow will bring in eventually some real organic traffic just because noways most browsers have by default more than one tracking mechanisms reporting to the big players what has been visited and more
... see the browsers' Traffic Protection or Data Collection or the so called Safe Browsing features etc. They are not there to protect anyone, is all about users' behavioral reports ;-)

Bro, Traffic is basically is not problem. By far, Affiliate marketing is the best model of making a great living.

But You have to understand how affiliate marketing works , right ?

Lots of people are getting massive results with Affiliate marketing also and they are not Guru's - they are just starter.

In affiliate marketing, we need to promote any good offer.

I like to promote digital info based products as they pay higher commission.

But 97% people stuck with TRAFFIC !

    But.... But....But...

Think, why people will buy from you ?

People have some problems and questions in every criteria and niche. To sell your product, you need to help them the solution, you need to provide value to them. Eventually they will buy from you.

Like - On Quora , Facebook groups - there's tons of questions being asked every minutes. Show your authority and help them - then promote your offer as solution.

    You will see the magic.

Though Email marketing is super effective till now - but if you don't wish to use it - then use pixel tracking code on your bridge page which you are promoting as you can run Ads on Google or Facebook with near to ZERO cost. Every visitors will be tracked with pixel technology.

By this way, Paid traffic brings best ROI.

Another way is to do good in depth review for your product/offer and rank on them Google or YouTube. You will get Buyer traffic.

You can also run Google ads for Your Review article but I recommend to store pixel info before running ads.

Try to get organic free traffic. Let me give you an example :

You have asked this question on this forum and you have a problem with traffic. Lot's of people are trying to help you and solve your problems in different ways. That means - we are providing value. Most of the answer makers on forums have signature link attached. So, we will get organic free traffic by just providing value and helping.

Affiliate Marketing is not DEAD ! Just take massive action.

Instead of just focusing on decent traffic, you should focus on relevant traffic, meaning people who have the intent to buy from you or do business with you.

This really comes down to Google Adwords or SEO. Since you are getting back into the marketing game, you should focus on becoming proficient in these two areas since Google searches are all about intent. They are already half way interested when they make those searches.

Social media marketing (ie. Facebook, Instagram) is good for brand building. But the users there have no intent to buy your product or service. You will need to bombard them with constant ads until they convert. Frankly, that's not the best way to approach business if you are looking to grow right away.

Pretty much ALL traffic sources work.

Whether you get traffic organically in the form of the search engines, or you pay for it on one of the multitude of platforms.

The problem many people have is a mixture of naivety, laziness and bright shiny object syndrome.

As humans we lean towards the hacks, the secrets & the loopholes, over fundamental strategies.

We all get caught up in buzz words like 'viral', 'autopilot' and 'push button riches'.

But in the back of our minds, we know no such things exist.

This doesn't stop product creators from praying on our vulnerabilities with incessant launches promising a 'quick fix'.

The promise of easy and fast over the hard and slow is hard to resist.

    So...

To get results, you need to get really good at one traffic source before moving to another IMO.

First, ensure your audience is on the platform of choice
If you are in the herpes niche, it's prob not best to use Facebook as it's hard to locate people on that platform with the said issue.

Then you have the creative, the copy, the targeting, the tracking, the set up, the landing page, the sales page etc...

If one thing is not there, then the funnel may break down.

As this requires effort, some expense to test and the right mindset, many folk will gravitate to the crap they see in their inboxes for the most part.

The GREAT high quality free traffic with highest conversions ever is Facebook organic traffic.

People who are actually seeking your content.

You can get tons of leads using just your FB profile.

But you need to learn how to do it the right way, not just pitching your offers without providing any value.

Here are few steps to get daily sales in any business from your FB profile:

Build your audience - you need to fill up your friends list only with people who are interested in products that you are selling ( for example if you are in weight loss niche, you need to have in your friends list only people who are interested in weight loss products )
    2. Instead of promoting your products, provide value to your audience. Something that people can learn from. The more you give the more you'll get! You need to build a trust. People will not to buy from you when they will not trust you. So before you can get you need to give first. Trust me it works :-)

    3. When people see that you are a giver, not just a taker they gonna like you and trust you and will more likely willing to buy your products. Show them what your products does for you ( without pitching ) and how they can benefit using your products.

If you master this FB game you can turn your profile into ATM in pretty short time :-)

For me, the best traffic comes from articles. I did facebook ads but i got tired of all the emails coming from wasters. I write quality articles about my products and i post it on my blog, scoop.it, reddit, lyst.ly & few others. I win in two ways, my website gets great SEO and the traffic is growing mad.

From Adwords you can get a lot of traffic but it costs a tone of money. From the other social media you get a lot of irrelevant traffic. Some people can make a lot of money from social media but very few. If some one searches for "bleach for sale", 3 of my articles come up on the first page on google. Articles with links. 2000-4000 words. Proper description and informative content.

When I started my own affiliate program about 10 years ago I didn't think it would be anything special. I was wrong. I've never seen an affiliate program that converts this good. I have affiliates that I send payments to pretty much every week.

So if your business model allows for it, create your own affiliate program. After organic traffic and your lists, it will be your #3 traffic source. It's that good.

Build up your website organically or with Youtube videos that have a link pointing to your website as these rank well in Google.

Also start using Pinterest. It takes time but once you have popular pins you will get traffic from them every day.

    Hope this helps.

Focus on one traffic method and then commit to master it.

Just one traffic method can give you as much traffic as you need, you don't even need to look for more

    I hope this help
