Article Marketing... Is This Ok?

Ok, I don't know if you should do this or not but is this ok for article marketing. You find a CB product, write your article on it and instead of it linking to your site to build up seo, it links right to the cb products site. How bad is this? Whats the pro's and cons of doing it this way?

There is nothing bad with that but you should keep in mind a few things:

    1. Many article directories will not approve the product review. You should rather to write something what is targeted to the users of the product and add affiliate link to the author resource box. E. g. if you promote article submitter, write an article about the ways how to submit articles to the article directories. Mention all ways including the article submitters and use the affiliate link in the resource box.

    2. Some article directories don't allow affiliate links -- so you need to check their rules before submitting.

    yes....

    EZA don't allow direct links.

many people do it. (direct lining) - and do well

    but....

    consider this....

    only about 1 % buy.....

if you collect email addresses, you can up that figure by a lot....

AND still be able to send additional offers afterwards....

even alternative offers to those who did not buy.....

    just my 0.02c...

The other thing to consider is that if the offer doesn't convert you can just change the affiliate link on your own site. If you do that on an article, you'll have to get it re-approved, unless you've cloaked your links. The same applies to all the links out there created by people publishing your articles. It's just much more flexible on your own site. Also, if something happens to the directory, all your hard work is lost.

Article Marketing is OK but the successful Warriors say over & over again that the Real Money Is In The List! So if I were you, this is where I'll direct my energy. Think about creating a valuable product (for example, report or eBook) --> New website or Blog --> Article marketing on relevant keywords to drive traffic to your new website --> Offer F.ree download of your valuable report or eBook from your website in exchange for Name & Email = Opt in / Build List --> Email regular affiliate offers to --> Make Money. Hope helpful ...

The main issue with this is that most article directories prohibit affiliate links in the resource box, and many prohibit any links in the body of the article.

Through my service, I have found ways around this.

I don't submit to directories, but to individual publishers, so I am not under the rules of the article directories. If you include links in the body of the article, some publishers will not use your article, but many will not care, so long as the link supports the story being told in the article.

So long as you understand that some publishers will reject your article, because there is a link in the body, then you are good going forward in the knowledge that you will still find some publishers using your article - even with the link in it.

If you include the direct affiliate link in the body, a lot of publishers will change the url to the main page of the product being pitched. So to get around this, I set up forwarders from my domain that redirect to the CB affiliate sales pages.

I do mention the affiliate product in the body of my articles, but I do it through a redirect url off of my own domain. Also, I try hard not to make the leading words to my link look like a sales pitch. It needs to be a subtle, not overt, attempt to get people to click the link.

Then in the resource box, I always point to my own domain.

I have made thousands of dollars in affiliate commissions playing the affiliate game this way.

I encourage anyone to give it a try.

Always send to a squeeze or presell page so you can build your list.

Im with you on that Will. Send your readers to a Capture page with a 'real value, free offer' in exchange for their name & email. Then you can send good info that helps them PLUS your offers once you gain trust. Far better for the long term. The moneys in the list brother! Check my link to find out more.
