Affiliate Software/Programs needed for my website

Hi, having recently launched website I'm amazed at how difficult it is to set up an affiliate program.
I tried joining Clickbank but they wont let me join for some reason.
I tried JVZoo but it doesn't do what I need.

So now I'm looking at PHP affiliate scripts that I can install on my website and was hoping any of you who use them can recommend one, my requirements are:

1. Handle monthly subscriptions.
2. Must allow a free trial period, preferably without having to enter any payment details.
3. Integrate with Paypal.
4. Easy to set up.
5. No Wordpress plugins, I'm not using wordpress.

Cheers.

  • First question is why were you not accepted by Clickbank. They are probably the easiest to get accepted to.

There are many affiliate networks out there, to name a few. Commission Junction, Share a sale, clixgalore, ratuken, there are many many more.

    Google is your friend here

    • Apparently they are restricting new accounts because of spammers, they asked me to send photo id to verify me, which I did but despite several emails I've nothing back in weeks. I'll check out those other networks, thanks, but I'm still after some recommendations of PHP scripts as well.

  • I'd be interested in knowing why Clickbank knocked you back?
I have never heard this happening to anyone.

    • I've had no response from them, all I get is a link to this message:

Q: When I completed my profile, I received an error message stating that my account was disabled. Why is that?

A: Unfortunately, based on a flag from our security system, we cannot offer you an account at this time. We are unable to release specifics regarding why the system has declined your request.

If you believe this message was made in an error, please send an inquiry to payments@clickbank.com including the name of the country you are trying to sign up from and a copy of your photo identification, such as a passport or driver's license. NOTE: Please be aware if you do not include the country you are trying to sign up from and your photo identification with the request, your inquiry will not receive a response.

  • This forum can't answer for CB or explain how they enforce their own TOS.

Link provided by IGotMine - in the post above - would seem to answer the questions.

    • It's really cool software and a great team behind it.
    • Looks good, not willing to pay a monthly fee yet though. I managed to sign up with Clickbank using a different email address, mine must have been blacklisted for some reason.

  • Your biggest concern at this point is finding affiliates. If you're in IM related niches it's pretty hard to get affiliates on CB, JVZ and Warrior+. It will be just about impossible to get them on your own unless you have a very specific and proven strategy.

If you're in IM I'd seriously consider adapting to the main affiliate platforms. Warrior+ and JVZ both have APIs which can be used for custom features. You'll need to hire a programmer.

If you don't want to pay a programmer you can adapt by changing your requirements to fit the major affiliate platform(s) and maybe coming up with another feature that's readily available to you.

There's also trust factors. Will you pay me? On time? Not skim my commissions? There's multiple legal and tax factors, as well as Paypal's recent issues with many and banning their accounts.

Without knowing your exact situation, it would be very hard for me to make any feature a priority over affiliate recruitment.

Once circumstance where it may be a good idea to have your own affiliate program is if you're working with a small group of affiliates/partners than know and trust each other, saving you platform fees.

    • Actually I'm in the betting/horse racing niche, and I'm a programmer too (thanks anyway Bruce). Why is hard to get affiliates? Is it because the IM niche is so saturated? I see products similar to mine advertised all over the place by various blogs etc. so maybe not so much of a problem in the betting niche, my strategy was just going to email them and get them to review my product.

      What are the custom features?

  • In sub-domain install wordpress and use Affiliates plugin

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/Affiliates/

    Hope! It will help you.

    • Thanks, this doesn't work though, the affiliate links only work in the sub domain.

  • Did you ever find a solution? I am looking for the same type of self hosted PHP affiliate script...
  • Everflow, an affiliate marketing Software, is good for tracking leads, calls, conversions, sales, and build strong networks. Anyways, if your focus is on lead generation and sales, why don't you try LinkedIn automation tools?
