Do You Let Your Domains Mature Before Promoting Them?

Warriors,

Last week I was looking at my GoDaddy account and realised that I had about 27 domains that I had bought but had never done anything with.

I have plans to develop them but if I was to begin doing so now I would be spreading myself too thin as I have too much other stuff on my plate at the minute.

I didn't want to just leave them sitting there so I decided that every Sunday I was going to set up a blog on 3 of these domains and put about 30-40 plr articles on them, set to post at a rate of every 3-4 days. By doing this, at the conclusion of this year all 27 domains would be active and have content being posted on them regularly.

Do you ever do this with domains you plan to develop later?

I know the search engines like more matured domains/sites over new ones so should I be doing something like this with every domain I buy but don't have plans to develop until a later point in time?

Is there any SEO benefit from doing this?

I believe there is SEO value in letting your domains mature but on the other hand, the value isn't so great that you should postpone a project 2 years to get the domain age. I mean, there isn't a significant increase in SEO juice from brand new to 3 months old.. and you don't want to just buy a bunch of domains to develop on years from now.
