    This is the HTML you'll find in your page.

    See the bold part? Now see the italicized part?
    <a style="display: block;" href="Free yourself from smoking">
    <img id="Header1_headerimg" width="728" height="90" style="display: block;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8M8MtJbHkcI/SNXus4dEO-I/AAAAAAAAAAQ/GOxJ5eCjsRY/S1600-R/Smoke_Deter_banner_1879.gif" alt="Free yourself from smoking"/>
    What you need to do is replace the italicized part with the ACTUAL link you're trying to link to. Right now it just links to your own blog.

    I don't know how much that's going to help, I've never bothered with blogspot...

    But I can tell you that if you're serious about blogging, there are some fantastic services out there that, while not free, will certainly make your blogging endeavours much easier, and more flexible!

    Here, let me show you what I mean...

    One of the best sites I know is "www.dreamhost.com"

    The key advantage here is that it's quite cheap, and allows you to quickly set up your blog. What's more, if you're willing to foot the bill (And it's worth it if you want to set your blog apart and really make it unique)... you can hire a Wordpress designer to create a template specifically for you.

    But if you can't afford it, have no fear. There are a multitude of FREE (or relatively inexpensive) wordpress themes that you can use... Including several that are designed for the explicit purpose of advertising.

    Hope that helps mate =)

    Banned
    Are planning to put this as header or as an ad?

    If ad, just add a page element (html) and add the whole banner code...

    Example..

    <a href="your link here"><img src="your image link here" alt="few words description"/></a>

      well i basically assumed that the banner would be clickable and it would take people to relevant site, obviously what i have done is just put a pic there, instead of link to other site

      thank u mate
